  1. The original post was from 2008. You probably will not get a reply. There is a swap meet next Sunday, Feb 13; at Clark Co Fairgrounds, there are usually 3-4 license plate dealers there. You might check it out.
  2. Can you post a pocture of the opposite ( back ) side of the cap ? It looks like there is electric wire coming out of the side of the cap. Is that correct ?
  3. I would like to start with , I appreciate all the efforts to the people that post pictures in the Photo Gallery. I have enjoyed looking at many of the pictures of vehicles at AACA Meets and Tours. I know it takes a lot of time to create this historical record of some great vehicles. Here is my concern. Many times I have tried to determine what year - make the vehicle is in the pictures. Unless I'm missing it there does not appear to be a place to enter this information. While the picture may be of a very rare vehicle no one will know any details of what the vehicle. My suggestion is that there be a place to document this information when posting a picture of a vehicle. I really would rather know what the vehicle is, than at what apature the picture was taken, what lighting was needed, etc., etc. I truely believe that we are keepers of history. This history needs to be preserved for the generations to follow all of us. With the pictures having the mentioned; Make - Model - Year ; information we will be preserving this information for our children, grand children and great grandchildren. If this information is there and I'm missing it, will someone point me to where I, and quite possibly others will be able to see the information. Thanks for reading this posting.
  4. I believe what you have are 1933 Chevrolet Standard front fenders. The 1933 Chevrolet Master have the points. While the standard fenders are very hard to find, finding someone with a standard will be equally difficult. You might try the VCCA site to sell if that is what you wish to do with them.
  5. That is a unique piece of aftermaket merchandise ! Or it could be a neat piece of black smithery. Can you supply some dimensions ? I will not be albe to tell from the dimensions but, there may be someone out here that may be able to help with that info.
  6. I would search for a pair to insure that you don't have another registration problem. If you want singles there are 2 listed on eBay at the moment.
  7. Interesting Headlights for that era. Are these OEM or after market Headlights ? The double white walls are a different touch for that time period also.

    Air pump

I believe the Tire Pump is a universal item. I picked up two of these this summer at an auction. One included a section of air hose. I was told that these came with enough hose that you could reach all four tires should you need to for some reason. Mine have brass cylinders. From the length of my handles I am guessing these were from the teen's and early twenty's. I have no idea on the wrench.
  9. What Month and Year is your car ? There are many variations of the horn on a Model A Ford. While I do not have any horns at this time, this could become critical information.
  10. The lower center is a 1930 Cap. The 1929 cap has the Chevrolet name inside the Bowtie and is not painted. The upper left should be nickel plated. It is a 1912-13-14 Cap.
  11. Did you get your answer ? I could take pics of the underside of my hood if you would like. I'll need your email address, send me a private message if you do need pics.
  12. I think the picture is going to do you more good than the patent # will. When I looked up the US Patent number is came up as a Radiator Cap , Motor Meter type. The site that I used is : US Patent Full-Text Database Number Search Follow the prompts and you will see detailed drawings dated 1923. BTW, that is an interesting radiator cap that you have.
  13. Can not tell. Interesting that it does not appear to have the headlight tube supports that go between the headlight and the front splash apron. Both '29 and '30 had the tubes. The bumper was a dealer installed option back then. The correct Genuine Chevrolet Accessory bumper was parallell top and bottom. I lean towards '29 as the hubcap bowtie emblem does not appear to be painted black. The bowtie appears to be unpainted as they were in '29 and not '30......Then again, if the pic was taken in 1935 it could have had the hubcaps replaced along the way.

  19. Welcome aboard ! I would start with this web site. Post a FOR SALE Ad and see what happens. You never know. If you do not get nibbles from the AACA Web site. I would try Craig's List. I recently followed this route and sold the car in less than a week. ( the buyer saw on Craig's list. ) I have heard positive and negative on selling cars on eBay. Best of luck selling the car !
  20. Price reduced to $1200.00 obo Posted on Craigslist - Dayton OH today as another place to advertise. Any interested parties out there ?
  21. I think this could be assembled relatively easy and quickly. This would make a good winter project for someone.
  22. Price reduced to $1100.00 obo, This engine does run. A video can be prepared of the engine running for serious parties. This would make an excellent project car for someone.
  23. Looks very similar to what I have seen with 1936 Chevrolet's. They had a hook device ; hard to find; that attached to the from and back bumpers. The jack pressed against the bracket to list the car. When I had a set of the brackets I wish I would have known how hard they were to find. I would have had a bunch made.

  25. While it would be a judging nightmare wouldn't it be an interesting car that was restored using such parts ! I have seen a 40's Chevy that looks like it went thry Western Auto with a magnet turned on. I think it had almost everything that they sold back then. It was a little insane , But, still representative of how things were done back in the day.
