  1. Barry- Have you checked this out: http://forums.aaca.org/f185/sale-1953-willys-overland-aero-ace-304119.html Last I heard Huptoy still had the car.
  2. Double check the facts on a 1932 Master.......do not believe there was such a car built. The Master / Standard designation did not arrive until 1933 with Chevrolet. There were Standard and Deluxe models. The Standard did not have cowl lights with the Deluxe did. the Standard had painted louvers and the Deluxe were Chrome. There was not a difference in the bodies from Standard to Deluxe.
  3. I think this is a 1940 Zephyr Continental. As I recall I was told there were only about 350 built. Each one of them were hand built. Maybe this is an early production model.
  4. I hope to post a picture of the guard cleaned up this weekend. I have them off of the bumper and will be albe to show the front and back.
  5. I will post a picture with the rust removed later this week. Thanks West , I thought out of 70+ people looking that the odds would be good that someone would know what the application is supposed to be.
  6. With all the looks and no reply I'm thinking this must be a generic bumper guard.
  7. This is mounted on a 1933 Chevrolet Bumper. I know it is not Chevy, does anyone recognize this as being for a specific car ? Thanks in advance .
  8. Congrats on the purchase. You will find that the 1951 can be a unique car. There were a lot of running changes that year. Many brought on by the developing war in Korea. Where in Ohio are you ? There are many AACA Chapters of the Ohio Region that would welcome you.
  9. Take a look at the Ohio Historical Vehicle laws. Very clear. I just don't understand how street rods get away with Hitorical Vehicle plates. i asked a police officer once what he knew about the plates. He knew very little. Hence little enforcement.
  10. The handle you are looking for is a folding handle with the square end. The handle is long enough that you can push it under the car/truck without getting under the car/truck. I'll check my wrench / tool assortment for what would be correct for a 37 Chevy. I may have some to help you.
  11. Resembles a 1931 Chevrolet Roadster with different wheels and headlights.
  12. These were available for 1930 and 1931. The difference being in how they attach to the radiator cap. The 1930 radiator cap screws on to the radiator. The 1931 is a bayonet type connection. These were originally pot metal that had a tendency to deteriorate over time.
  13. Could possibly be Holden. Our friends from down under may be able to offer their .02 on these.
  14. I also received the mentioned letter. In the letter it mentioned that there was a listing of the cars owned that had received HPOF. That we were to review and submit any changes. My letter did not contain a lisiting of the cars owned / awarded HPOF. Was I the only one missing this in the packet ? I know my Father no longer owns some HPOF Awarded cars. Have not checked it he received this same packet. Thanks
  15. Thanks NZCARNERD ! You will make the persons day !!!
  16. An acquanitence is trying to indentify the auto her Grandmother is at the wheel of in about 1916. She is thinking it might be european based on family history. Thanks in advance for any help Hope the pic loads !
  17. Looks like a Marmon to me. The point / peak in the top of the radiator is what made me think that. I also see what appears to be an oval badge on the top of the radiator.
  18. Can you post pictures of the items ? What size are the Fog Lights ?
  19. What info is on the upper tank. Typically there is a manufacture name, part number and date code. This might help someone id the item.
  20. Some day we can trade stories of Dalhammers junk yard. I have a few. I spent a lot of time out there in the late 60's early 70's. I know people that live on the old property now. Occasionally they ask what kind of car part they have. After all these years pasts keep working up thru the soil.
  21. Howards 31 Chrysler Lebaron Imperial was sold to a guy in California. It was re-restored to two tone red with all new leather and top. Quite an undertaking on a top dollar paid car ! It has appeared in the AACA magazine a few times since being painted red. The car you are talking about is no the old Rigg Chrysler.
