  2. I sthere anyone out there with a Packard Parts book that could help ? Is it possible this is a mis stamped part ? This ring and pinion has the Script Packard logo, could it be original equipment taken out of a car ?
  3. I can not make out the numbers on the back. What are the numbers 14.....? This might help someone ID this item.
  4. West The year this Viking fits will depend on the base. There are threaded and bayonett versions. Which do you have? Also are the "wings " complete and intact? Often the wings are broken by raising the hood into them.
  5. I have double checked the numbers. They are as I posted originally. Thanks for asking.

  12. If you can take the headlight door off you will then find numbers on the lens that will help id the light for you. Let us know what you find.
  13. Is there anyone out there with an old AC Catalog that can help me?
  14. I have two AC W24 oil filters. Does anyone know the application of these filters ? Much appreciated.
  15. Jay For the $350.00 I would think you could have a lot of fun fixing up the car. With todays gas prices I'm sure it would get gret gas milage and make a great daily drive if nothing else. If it is not repairable to make run you have sellable parts and could ( I shudder to say ) scrap the remains for more than the $350.00...That is if and only if it is not repairable and you have offered parts to a Corvair Collector.
  16. TG57Roadmaster, The pin on the right; Glidden Trophy; was presented to participants at the 1969 Glidden in Gatlinburg TN. That was my parents first Glidden of many. My parents each received one. I found one at a Swap Meet several years ago. If I'm not mistaken they are made of Bronze. Much like the Indy 500 Pit Pass pins.
  17. If the car has one of the Vacuum assist fuel pumps you may just need a diaphram fro the vacuum side. You might check NAPA for a kit. Not sure on the floor covering. In those years floor mats were typically an aftermarket item. I would remove for now and go with out the turf !
  18. You might look into the McMaster Carr web site. They offer alum, stainless steel, brass and steel in all shapes and at reasonable prices
  19. Huptoy You might try squirting a small amount of WD40 into the inlet of the wiper. It's possible the vacuum wipes is dry from lack of use and needs lubrication to get it moving. Did you get any spare parts with the car? Enjoy !
  20. At one time I had an extensive screw on hubcap collection. Among my favorite ways to mount the caps was with metal banding material used for strapping down heavy items to skids when shipping via truck. Cut the metal with tin snips to the internal dimension, Drill a hole in the center of the piece then a screw could be inserted into the hole to mount on peg board. The hole could also be used to hang on a wall. Another way that I used was to epoxy a piece of threaded rod in to the cap. Then stuck the threaded rod thru peg board and held it on with a nut. Best of luck !
  21. Look close on the side of the flange, Many times there are numbers there that will help. Some times there is a brass tag on the tops, screwed down with a top housing screw. The brass tag has numbers that could help. I have a Carter book that I could possibly help with those numbers. Let us know what you find.
  22. You might try Chevs of the 40's or The Filling Station. Maybe also try NAPA. You will find they have a lot of parts for these cars.
  23. I have always been told with Automatic Transmissions " if it is not broke don't fix it " I would not change anything if all is working well. Just my opinion. I have seen people have problems just by draining fluid and refilling.
