  2. It's been suggested that the P-40 gauges imply a postwar build date. The P-40 I believe is a late 1930's design and was built in the same state as the Pierce Arrow, New York. Possible connection? Discuss. Howard Dennis
  3. This attitude just isn't with antique cars. Watch TV and see how many shows are popping up about how to modernize your Victorian house or take beautiful pieces of antique furniture and paint it some horrible color to bring it into the modern era. And they seem to hunt out pristine survivors instead of rundown examples. There just doesn't seem to be any respect for what came before just old is bad I can make it better. Howard Dennis

Thanks John, I just assembled all my parts and spares from years of collecting and sold my motometers on eBay and wouldn't you know it, this perfect example shows up for a price I couldn't pass up! So rather than start re-collecting I was hoping someone like me would have just the temperature scale for this one so I didn't have to start accumulating all over again. Howard Dennis

  16. The O.D. of the gauge is 2.996 and the opening for the glass is 2.216. It's not the JR. or midget model but what I think they called the senior model. Howard Dennis
  17. I just acquired this stunning N.O.S. Boyce Motometer. It's perfect accept it has the temperature scale in Spanish. Does anyone have a perfect English scale so I can convert this back to a North American model? Thanks, Howard Dennis

  20. Layden. this is just a guess but I think this is for an early thirties GM product as both my 1931 and 1932 Chevrolet's had that curved connection. Howard Dennis
