Thanks for your responses guys. Do you think 1 of these kits would be enough to cast 2 snubbers? Howard Dennis

Anybody have an idea of where I could obtain rubber blocks that could be ground into rubber axle bumpers for my 1917 Maxwell? They appear to be about 1 3/4 inches wide x 6 inches long x 3 inches tall and were held on with leather straps. Thanks, Howard Dennis

I just acquired this dash panel thinking it might work on my 1917 Maxwell. After checking wiring diagrams I find it matches 1918 exactly. The trouble is 1917 is 6 volt and 1918 is 12 volt. I hate to get rid of this dash if the cut out/regulator will work on my dash because this unit is N.O.S. My question is can the cut out/regulator be tested (by someone more knowledgeable than me) to determine voltage requirements or is there a visual difference that can be seen? Thanks for any help, Howard Dennis

Dave, Maxwell did the same thing that manufacturers do today they created engines for the track that had no resemblance to their showroom product whatsoever. They varied so much that the first version didn't even run on gasoline it used kerosene. Howard Dennis

This started out sounding like you wanted to help out the restoration community "If you can help me with determining a value, or may be interested in purchasing these parts for your own project or inventory, please contact me via the links on this forum" But now that someone has stepped up it now seems you are after the absolute last nickel you can get! Which is it? Howard Dennis

Thanks to Erik Johnson over at the Model T Forum: It's aftermarket and for a Model T Ford. I have one sitting on the shelf at home. It slips onto the radiator neck. When you install it, you bend the tabs around the lower edge of the lip of the radiator neck (this is to prevent it from being stolen). Likewise, the two ends of the wire also are tucked under the lip. It's a flip top - you pull the wire down to flip open the cap. Yours appears to be NOS so the tabs are not broken off. Usually when you find this particular accessory, the tabs have been broken off as a result of being removed from the radiator neck. Howard Dennis

Thanks for your response John. Go back and look at the base, very oddly shaped and no internal threads. I wondered if the tails of the bail somehow went under the flare of the Model T radiator neck? Howard Dennis
