  1. I sent you a private message on here, Howard Dennis
  2. Do you have any other Maxwell parts for sale? Howard Dennis
  3. Although it looks exactly like a vacumn tank except the top is different could it be a tank for a Bijur Chassis Lubrication System used on some of the bigger 1920's and 30's cars? Howard Dennis
  4. I think that the same race Graham. Any mention of the Maxwell record holder in the 1915-18 time frame? Howard Dennis
  5. No actually I loose and you win. I see that after I left negative feedback on eBay to warn the rest of the possible victims what kind of seller you actually are, You lied to eBay for a second time and said the rear axle was destroyed in Hurricane Sandy so they removed the negative feedback. I see lying comes second nature to your dealings, something others should keep in mind when dealing with you. Buyer Beware!! Howard Dennis
  6. Mike, since I know both the first Chrysler 4 cylinder and the first Plymouth 4 cylinder owe some of their design to the last Maxwell, I wonder if the starters might not be the same? Howard Dennis
  7. I also remember certain cars waiting in the shops for months and even years while missing "correct" parts were hunted down, not exactly the actions of a man who cut corners. Howard Dennis
  8. Having seen his shops and restorations firsthand on many occassions I highly doubt your examples were given full restorations in Bill's shop or they were done after he was gone. Howard Dennis
  9. Visited the collection 4 times, the first I was just a teenager and got a behind the scenes tour from Ralph Dunwoodie because I had a pair of headlight lenses he needed. Anyone remember how there would be a half page add in Hemming's for part's the collection needed for ongoing restorations? It always impressed me how hard they strived to find the exact needed part and wouldn't accept a close similiar part as a substitute. Howard Dennis
  10. Let's start by being truthful Mercer09, Maxwell 07 or whomever you are this week. What's with the multiple identities on here and eBay? You advertised your axle for sale here in May and when I responded you completely ignored me. This week you run it in an eBay auction and I again responded and was again ignored. Finally after my third attempt to contact you your first and ONLY response was an extremely snotty email and NO it did not contain any offer to help with shipping at all. I was never offered the option of shipping by you. I then was forced by your lack of help to seek outside help to retrieve the axle. After the auction that I won fair and square you lied to eBay and said you sold the axle to someone else and cancelled the auction. Are you just off your meds or is this the way you normally conduct your business dealings?? Howard Dennis
  11. Thanks Restorer32, I really appreciate the offer and will keep it in mind. Howard Dennis
  12. Nobody needs a little extra spending money for Xmas? I really don't expect someone to do this for free. Howard Dennis

  14. Thanks 37Packard, normally this scenario would work fine but...... This seller has been SO not helpful I know crating won't be an option and as this would make my 11th similiar transaction I already have enough rear axle housings to build a Maxwell picket fence!! Howard Dennis
  15. Does any mechanically handy old car owner live near Medford New Jersey? I've found a rear axle there for my 1917 Maxwell but need someone to pick it up disassemble it and mail me the internals. I realize this is a lot to ask but the owner refuses to help in any way so I have to resort to outside help to get my needed parts to Georgia. I've had no trouble getting parts from 10 other owners but this one is "special". Thanks for any help or suggestions, Howard Dennis<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

  18. Just found an early Detroit Lubricator carburetor # E-32905. Am I correct in assuming the E stands for May 1932 production? http://www.ebay.com/itm/121002316779?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Howard Dennis
  19. I just "Found" this on the Model T Ford Forum and it was just too funny not to pass on. Read the response on the bottom they are hilarious!!! BARN FIND - ONE OWNER FROM NEW - WITH ANOTHER FOR SPARES | eBay Howard Dennis
  20. While doing research the other day I stumbled across this period dash repair for a 1917 Maxwell and thought since parts are extremely hard to find perhaps someone would find it useful to get a Maxwell running again. This comes from the April 13th 1925 edition of Motor Age on page 27. Howard Dennis
  21. Thanks Anyway, I found it in the AACA Library Howard Dennis
  22. Does anyone have an August 13th 1925 copy of Motor Age Magazine I could get a copy of page 27? Howard Dennis
  23. The trouble with the Google images is the first one is my actual dash and the second is similiar but has several differences such as fuses, speedometer and an opening mine doesn't have for a wheel or lever? Howard Dennis
  24. Thanks Bob, I saw the Dyke's drawing but couldn't figure out if it fit 1917, 1918 or both years use the same dash? Howard Dennis
  25. I believe this is a 1917-18 Chandler N.O.S. Dash can anyone confirm or tell me what it fits? Howard Dennis
