  1. Im looking for 1910 NY license plates to make a set for my car. Because the 1910 NY plates had riveted numerals I can make a pair if I find enough common numbers. Please take a look. All plates considered any condition from nice to rough. Mike mawest729@gmail.com 585 738 1541 THANK YOU!
  2. Steve Google "French Lake Auto Parts Minneapolis MN. Ask for the owner and tell him you need stainless steel buffed ect. He has a excellent guy . Ive done business with him and he is a standup guy. I don't have his name or number. He has other great reference's on this site.

  4. It will not work. On the rolled tanks with flat ends I cut both ends out leaving a 1/2 inch flange. Clean out the muck , sandblast it clean, make new ends and soldier them in. Seal with gas tank sealer. The few tanks Ive done , I gutted them of baffles. The tank is on the back and haven't ever heard a slosh.... I don't hear Model A Fords tanks slosh either.
  5. Joe, The book saying the motor oil capacity confirms what you have been saying. Mitchell had a great advertising program and paid for it by cutting corners on the chassis of the car. Three quarts of oil probably leaked out in one 100 mile trip.
  6. Here are a few. The last picture is no race car. It was my dad when he was 14 in 1946 lining up for a parade in his dads antique car that I have in the garage now. 1902 Crest. (3.5 hp) smile...
  7. Billety , That's a old line of bullshit all the jerks in the world repeat because they heard some fat cat they looked up to say it..... Its makes me smile... Have great day.
  8. I have a few bearings including a NOS one that Gordon Howard sold me a few years ago. If you still need one, let me know Ill get one out. Mike
  9. Interesting marriage. What is the price?
  10. Looks almost like the Franklin truck I started with. It was a 7 pass sedan that the body was damaged and removed. I wanted a body that would resemble a period service truck. I borrowed the look from a Model A Ford deluxe pickup that only 300 were made. I now have the chrome rails and ball topped posts for the top of the box. The truck has a overdrive unit from a Packard installed behind the original 3 speed transmission. She will run very comfortable 65 on the interstate highways where its safe to do so. The red model a ford was in Rochester its whole life and was the model for this Franklin box. The truck gets plenty of attention.
  11. Here is a super nice old restored Rubes double twist horn with new brass bug screen. The upper bell measures 5.5 inches top to bottom. The horn measures 10 inches overall top to bottom. 20. Joe , I have several tachs and have the one I want to use. I wonder if they could be adjusted to read more correct. I haven't found much info on them. The so called expert I called said get some stickers and change the numbers to half of what the say.... OK I can do that without a sticker.
