  1. This guy will have the parts; He had my 1930 Model 70 pump parts. Antique Auto Parts Cellar
  2. When you say sits a while. If you are talking a day there may be a problem. If I let my car sit for a couple weeks, my carb is dry. Did not do that before the alcohol was added to the gas. The bowl is vented and the new gas evaporates quicker than the old gas.
  3. The seller was close to the correct years. That part number started in 1928 and went until at lease 1954 (that is when my parts book was printed). That part does fit Chrysler 6 cyl back to 1924.
  4. I assume the fuel lines are not leaking and the fuel is leaking out the top. If so, a couple causes could be the float is set too high or the needle valve is not seating. If leaking elsewhere, the body bolts were probably not tightened enough. I would call Kantor. They may just send a replacement.
  5. That is about $113000 us dollars. Seems high for that car or the people down there are very well off.
  6. According to Hollanders interchange the Plymouth 37-39 Commercial (truck?) rear drum is the same as the 37 - 48 Plymouth 5 passenger cars (10" diameter)
  7. The curves published will only give start, intermediate and maximum advance at different RPMs. I have a 1949 Delco book that has these. The distributor model number gives a certain curve number and that number elsewhere in the book gives the curve, eg Model number 4094 rotates cc, curve no 956, cam angle 48 deg. Then curve no 956 gives RPM 800-ADVANCE 2.0 DEG; RPM 2800 - ADVANCE 37 DEG; RPM 4000 - MAX ADVANCE 42 DEG If you have an old Delco, I can look it up.
  8. Don't know what carb you have, but, my Motors Manual says 3 psi for Stromberg Carbs EE-1 and EE-22 and AAV-1 and 2
  9. ES 51- 1935-36 DODGE TRUCKS K 50/60 SERIES, ES 53 AND 54 - 1936 CHRYSLER (C7 AND C8) My book was printed in 1936. The other numbers are for newer cars
  10. Here are some pictures from my 38 Dodge. May help.
  11. Model T Ford about 1922 with accessory wheels and springs.
  12. Sounds like you are doing it correctly, but, here is the pages from the shop manual to make sure.
  13. Sounds like the lube on the cable is gone. I think you can take the cable housing off the back of the speedometer and put sum lube (like graphite) down in the housing.
  14. With the ignition in the on position, you should see a spark at the points when opening and closing. Get points in the closed position and manually then open. A spark at the points should occur. If not change the capacitor
  15. For what it is worth, I have an old muffler book printed in 1938 that shows the following for the 1929 DA: 5" diameter, 23.5' body length, 26.5" overall length, Inside diameter inlet 2", Inside diameter outlet 1-3/8", inlet and outlet positions in center. Also, this 1938 book lists oval mufflers for the 1936-1938 Dodges.
  16. Notice the last car. Cars drive on left side and they moved the step pad to the rumble seat to the left side also.
  17. This is what is in the 1949 MOPAR parts book that covers cars (part number 1123087 ring gear and pinion matched set): 3.73 in the 1942-1948 Dodge 3 Cpe only, 1937-41 Plymouth economy models only, all 1946-1948 Desotos
  18. Mike, attached is the complete page. Book was printed in 1926 so that is the last year with data. Harry Dodge data0003.PDF
