  1. Thanks for putting this on the forum. I was going to do it soon but you beat me.
  2. Just to let you know. If you attend Rhinebeck on Saturday, you could make our show on Sunday, May 1. The NJ Region has a show that has been going on for over 60 years. We are moving to a new location, Mennen Arena, Morristown, NJ, this year after 40 some years at one location. We get ~220 antique cars at the meet that is judged on modified AACA rules. Complete details can be found at our Region web site: www.njaaca.org. Details for the 2016 meet will be posted in the future. We are about a 2 hour drive from Rhinebeck.
  3. The forms are available under the meets forum. Also, just the registration form is available under general discussion.
  4. Yes, I saw that as they posted the Seminar schedule and registration form yesterday under the meets topic. I was very disappointed as I would like to know whatis going on at the national level.
  5. I requested this last year when they asked for suggestions. They seemed to be positive at that time. There is also a seminar discussion going on under General Discussion where they said the schedule should be posted soon.
  6. Do we know if there will be a webmaster session at the National Meeting in February. I sure hope so.
  7. Marty, For the '15, just go down to the local Cadillac dealer as they are still having clearance sales.
  8. A great free program to downsize photos is fotosizer.
  9. A friend of mine sent me a link to the article. It is very interesting, and Steve Moskowitz and the AACA Museum director are quoted. If someone else has posted this, I apologize. http://www.washingtonpost.com/rweb/biz/americas-fading-car-culture/2015/09/04/834ab7b6b2f99fc195c2c9416f2ccdc4_story.html?tid=kindle-app
  10. Mike Fusick is the top supplier of Olds parts. Great people to work with and have quite extensive selection, especially for the older ones. https://www.fusickautomotiveproducts.com/
  11. Hi John, We give our old car magazines to the nursing homes where we run an event. They like to have them and it is a good way to reuse them.
  12. So far ok with no flu. I will have to look at your videos which are a great idea. Also, doctor said I had the bubonic plague and bad caritis - were you spreading those too?
  13. On Sunday, May 3 the NJ Region will hold their 64th annual Spring Car Show. Details to be posted soon at the NJ Region web site: www.njaaca.org
  14. Thanks to all for help in the identification, especially with a fairly rare model like this.
  15. A classmate from high school posted this picture and wanted to know what kind of car it was. It was one of her relatives. I took it to our local Region's meeting, and most people seemed stumped. We are from Indiana originally, but I do not know where it was taken. Any help would be appreciated.
  16. The Desoto was parked at an auto body shop and hit. Even siting still they are a target. http://www.nj.com/hunterdon-county-democrat/index.ssf/2014/10/parked_1950_desoto_damaged_in.html#incart_related_stories
  17. For brake fluid, I like to use the DOT 3 synthetic brake fluid. It is supposes to be impervious to moisture. It is not that much more than regular fluid and is compatible with all the 3 and 4 fluids. Most major retailers have this.
  18. I found this in Slate magazine. It shows several pictures and talks about driving manners and things to do to your car for a lady. Quite a bit different than today. http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_vault/2014/05/20/photos_advice_for_female_drivers_in_1909.html
  19. Our show was held last Sunday. Weather was very windy, and some threat of rain held off attendance. Photos from the show will be posted in the next few days at www.njaaca.org.
