  1. I have no clue, as I only do V-8 Cadillac & LaSalle stuff……..
  2. Yes, my clues stink by design……..ok……..it is NOT a CCCA eligible car………..a new first for me. It’s been well over thirty years since I bought a car that wasn’t a Classic by definition. And as mentioned…..I don’t do convertible sedans.
  3. Although many iconic cars have moved on, this will be an epic event to attend.......just for the spectacle of it. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend........and I'm very disappointed.
  4. None of the above guesses is correct...........I only collect American cars. I sure wish it was a Model 98 phaeton(better than any V-8 Caddy!).......that's on my want to own list.........factory body on the newly acquired car. For me, this one is expanding my horizons. In the end, it's gonna be Phil's car anyway. We are truly partners in crime, and he carries most of the load when we service the cars........all the long hours of disassembly and cleaning that are the drudge of the task.......important, and to most people unappreciated . Phil is OLD SCHOOL HARD AS NAILS...........its why we get stuff done...........the shut up and fix it attitude.........he is a machine that just doesn't stop. We work 7 days a week besides our daily regular obligations. Work hard, live hard, play hard. It's all fun in the end.
  5. You can buy new modern units with sealed bearings from John Cislak..........
  6. Sounds like work........I have enough of that already........I'm very busy digging a big hole in the garage...........it's called a pre war car!
  7. Locomobile – 1915-1924; All includes left hand drive models 48 and all model 90; 1927-1929 Model 8-80; 1929 Model 8-88 Above from CCCA........so the 1925 is most likely a typo.........any Series 48 is a CCCA classic. Typical confusion when obscure cars are involved.
  8. Not a Nash……good guess. It meets the rare and unusual criteria, certainly the best guess so far. This particular car is particularly rare. I can’t find five other known examples…………. and every other known example is totally restored, except one basket case.
  9. Want to shoot video and photos of it coming out of its parking spot the last 65 years………and, from past history here…….the guessing game is fun and entertainment for many.
  10. Just toss it in somewhere…….I put mine in the lower radiator hose.
  11. Have you bought modern parts lately? 200 bucks is cheap. That’s less than a tank of fuel for my 3500 pick up. Just be thankful it’s available. It would cost you two grand to make a single one…..and months of work. Any pre war car that’s broken and the repair is less than a grand……..is free.
  12. George…….it pays the bills…….and manages to keep me in interesting prewar cars. If I never saw a show field again, I would be perfectly contented. We all must take the good, with the bad. Hell, I haven’t washed one of my collector cars in over five years………..just drive them. As time goes by, the shiner it is, the less intrest I have in it,
  13. 28…….and a pond. 👍 Your gonna catch me soon. 33 acres and a 6 acre pond. 7 acres of grass/field. I sold off the chipper……..great tool, butI kept wanting to toss the Mrs. in it five times a day. Ok…..fifty times a day.
  14. Electric fuel pump is a terrible idea, unsafe, and impossible to make work(read run correctly.) That said, it could be a bunch of issues particular to that carburetor and distributor. I’m betting it has wrong parts in the internals. As a matter of fact, it is almost 100 percent certain. Unless returned to100 percent stock, the odds of it running well are almost zero.
  15. A few cases of Crown Royal will allow you to attend the “Edgar the Duce” college of automobile sorting. One case per credit. 120 credits required to graduate…….after all we are accredited!
  16. Cool truck…….I keep getting offered White trucks…….and I have kept my self control……so far!
  17. I don’t do Cadillac’s anymore for myself…….been there, done that.
  18. More land…….. you still haven’t gotten to the Auburn, because you’re doing yardwork. And now the yard is bigger? Priorities, priorities, priorities! 🫣
