  2. John, 1928 is the last year for them, Karl
  3. Ed, any ribbon on Bob J.’s Pierce?
  4. The day the Jetsons found a home on the ceiling, battery powered car from the 60’s
  5. I see George every time I play in my shed. Karl
  6. Ken, Not 1929 and up Pierce. They have drilled holes for 2 wipers and a center crank mount for the tilt out of the windshield. The tops do not have corners like yours. Karl
  7. here is a flock with lock! Spare tire lock, transmission lock, trunk lock, golf club door, new old stock
  8. Keys don’t get much prettier than this Wills Sainte Claire
  9. Ken, a photo from the rear is needed to see if it is Pierce. A shot of the inner upper corners too. Karl
  10. Jeff, I have only seen THAT adjuster one other time since then, and that time: a modern car. Also, this time I was glad it was not mine! I don't think I'll ever forget his name...
  11. I renewed Hagerty insurance for my fleet back in November. Something new is a loss buy-back of the vehicle if it’s totaled. For a small increase in premium , should they total any one of my rare cars I get to keep the remains which would surely come in handy to keep other rare cars on the road. I have no idea if anyone else offers such insurance options but in my case I thought it was well worth a few extra dollars. As for claims, my one Pierce was rear ended at a traffic light. I called Hagerty and let them deal with the modern insurance company. I didn’t want some modern adjuster showing up and telling me what it was gonna cost to fix the back end of a Pierce Arrow . That was over $15,000 till it was done. Even though this was not my fault as I was just sitting at a red light, I let Hagerty Ins do the work of dealing with the other owners insurance to get my Pierce back on the road.
  12. I just looked and "Truly" deleted "hide" his thread, I have looked, and the last two posts were way off topic. He could have reported them, and we could have deleted just them. However, the Poster of the thread has the option to hide the thread, he can no longer delete one. Please keep in mind the world can see your posts, stay on topic and members will continue to share their world! Karl
  13. Richard, Living in the real world and not the perfect world, re-grinding of the flywheel and pressure plate, and the new thickness of the disc material all play into getting the distance correct. Once assembled I would adjust the fingers to 1 1/8 inch +/- then see if you are at the inner edge of the old wear marks when a straight edge is on the dowel tool and the 3 fingers. That should be close. Karl
  14. Here is my set tool: small circle fits pilot bushing, center fits disc, last is the depth setting. It is measured from picture 2 disc center. I then just put a straight edge across the top and set my fingers to be level with that level. Your clutch parts must be assembled to your fly wheel and tight to make these final adjustments on your outer lock bolt and nut.Karl
  15. Richard, On all Pierce Long clutches the distance from the back of the center disc hub to top of fingers is 1 1/8 inches. I made a plastic tool that fits in the disc and then have a 1 1/8 inch dowel on top to give me a place to put a straight edge on it to check each finger. Karl
  16. Richard, Do you have a Long brand two-disc clutch? If so, the disc thickness is critical to get the clutch to stop. Karl
  17. Standard $84.80 Handicap $106.00 They always look like new. No I do not get a cut!!
  18. Roger, this is used with your brace and bit. Brace goes on the top, bit in the bottom. The chain goes around the barn beam. When you turn the brace it keeps pressure on the bit so it keeps drilling. This was a big help when hanging on a ladder while drilling for a wooden peg hole. Karl
  19. It’s a 16 ounce jar, that must be one year supply.
  20. My best find from Carlisle was this keeper. I never knew Valvoline made hair products. Has a nice smell to it!
