  1. I found this here in the for sale section! 1932 Franklin Airman coupe. Thanks for everybody's help. Karl
  2. I have an e-mail reply that it fits 1932 Franklin. Does anyone have a photo of this dash to confirm? Thanks, Karl
  3. I will look for any info on the back, and get better speedo photos and post. Thanks, Karl
  4. Glove boxes makes me think 1930's. Pierce uses two glove boxes. Not like any Pierce or Studebaker dashes I have seen. I am still looking. Karl
  5. Can anyone ID this dash?
  6. I am sure the magnet was less than 1/2 inches from the sensor. I saw parts of one of these sets on the shelf a few years ago. I will check and see if it is still collecting dust when I get back to work tomorrow. The sensor is second electric magnet, so a bolt is correct in the center. I would glue two magnets on 180 away from each other and go for a ride. You could locate and just tape them to the shaft. Karl
  7. I installed many of these on 70's Mercedes. There should be a 1/4 by 1/2 inch magnet glued to the drive shaft. Is the electric cable and sensor there? They were pretty trouble free. Every auto parts store sold them. There are a few little screws in the holes in the "black box" that controlled speed drop and speed. Once they were set, never had to go back to them. You may have to adjust one once you put the magnet back on. We always mounted it as close to the transmission as possible. Karl
  8. Photos of engine, note cranks changed positions, motor turns over by hand, Karl

  11. A, if it has a ser. number it will be on the drivers side half way back at the top of the block. If that's not there then a casting number will be in the block just in front of the starter on that same side, that will give us a date the block was cast. Detailed photos and location would help to set a value and sell it too. Karl
  12. Jeff, "You" sent it to me, but my firewall said not to open it. I figured you got hacked and still had my e-mail from working on my black 30 Pierce years ago. Karl

  16. Woodie48, We had a great rib eye steak vendor on our field for years. (now gone due to age of vender) Late one afternoon I asked how the week was going for them... Well at that time the $80 space you pay for is sold to HERCO by the region for $80 who then resells it to a food vender. They paid Herco for 3 spaces at $500 each, $1500. They ran with four people, If Hershey Park was a coke park, you sold Coke, If that year a Pepsi you sold Pepsi. Your contract required you to get the syrup, cans and bottles from Herco. You could not go to SAM's and save money on the cost of drinks. I don't have a clue what these food venders pay now but you have to sell a lot of $8 milk shakes to break even at $500 per space rain or shine, cold days, etc, I am very happy to buy food on my field at any price if it tastes good! Without enough help, your food line gets too long, you lose customers. We set up on Tuesday and sell till 1 pm. on Saturday. Stop and spend your money C4A-1-6 (yes we have the tool and jack tent) … and we use all our space!!!! Karl
  17. Mike, the insides had been gutted long ago. There is two locations for spring discs (check valves) like most mechanical AC and Stewart pumps from the 30's and up use to keep prime and pressure in the upper casting. 1929 Pierce Arrow went with a Mechanical AC pump on the "new eight" getting rid of the vacuum tank, but they like Wills liked Delco parts for a long time so an AC pump would make sense. Wills on the other hand was looking for the most modern , best constructed parts he could use for his all new updated1925 models. Karl
  18. Mike, the lower boat autopulse pump is what Wills used, but just one. The #500 that Duesenberg and others used has a much larger electric magnet than the earlier type.(Shown in your first photo) This must have been a good one as it is used for years and years. 50's cars continued to use 1-3 pumps.
