2016 Winter Meet - Naples, Fl
Jeff Perkins / Mn replied to oldstudemike's topic in AACA - Shows and Tours
A very nice meet which this visitor from Minnesota thoroughly enjoyed. Where can one find a list of class winners? -
Paul, you are very right about NSRA 23, I was a rodder for many years and surely believed in that program.

For Sale- 1926 Paige 2 door sedan

Ha! I meant as a daily driver collector car. I try to drive one or more of my collector cars every day for something fun, but to commute with one....no way! -
Speaking as a retired rural carrier and incurable car nut....my car guys on my route ALWAYS received top priority, A#1, red carpet, immediate delivery of anything car related. We all knew each other and often shared different publications amongst us. Zeke01 has likely nailed it. If I rec'd something for delivery and it was messed up, I just patched it up as good as possible and delivered it, sometimes with a written apology on behalf of the USPS.

I often have friends (with similar antique autos to mine) drive my cars and note if something seems amiss to them. Extra eyes, ears and hands can help diagnose even slight issues. Our local Mod l A club offers a day of inspections and diagnosis to members every spring. A VERY good idea and program.

Lap/Rail for rear of front seat

I don't have one but if you find one you like and it is too wide, they are very easily narrowed. Most end brackets are threaded, some soldered. I have had to narrow every one I have installed in my Model T's over the years. -

If you are thinking about this car at all please give Bob P. a call, it is really an HPOF car, nice enough to be a daily driver. I sure wish I had the room for this one but my garage is already 1/2 full with two cars I bought from Bob! -
Selling my cars dodge 1923 model t 1919 holesman 1904

Lots of issues involved in selling a car across the pond. Most fall upon the lap of the buyer. I sold a Model T to a gentleman in Switzerland back in 1999 and it took over a year (from the time it left my house) for him to get it in his country and drive it. -

I looked at this car last December when I bought a Model T from Bob. It is a really neat car, would be great for HPOF. I have bought a couple of cars from Bob, a straight shooter giving honest descriptions. A very pleasant and helpful person to work with. -

Jan-Feb Issue of AACA Antique Automobile
Jeff Perkins / Mn replied to Pomeroy41144's topic in General Discussion
West, as a 35 yr career rural letter carrier, I always treated second class (periodicals) and parcel post the same as first class mail meaning the day it comes in, it goes out. The only mail we as carriers were allowed to delay ONE day was 3rd class (or bulk) mail. The car guys on my route were lucky.....anything pertaining to cars and our hobby got priority delivery from me! -

No show in Minnesnowta. -
Being a hikers and mushroom hunters my wife and I get out in the woods a lot. Many times we have found remains of cars, most are actually Model T's. Too far gone to salvage, we like to leave this stuff for others to come across in the future. Some of the T parts have had "DB" markings on them!

There is nothing else like driving the Model T.....most fun car I have EVER driven. I taught both my sons how to drive the T, they both also love it. #2 son even likes driving the Model T better than his 911 S-4 Carrera.

Just saw your post.....I just sold a '59 235 with a T85N 3spd OD.......looks like that is the trans on yours? Stovebolt.com is an excellent resource for the inline Chevy 6's. Interesting to see the Wayne finned aluminum parts, wonder what lurks on the inside? Good Luck Dave! Jeff P. / Mn. -
