  1. Saw this on the Jalopy Journal and thought it would fit nicely here.
  2. Maybe it is the heat I have only used it on one car. I put it in ran in up to temperature shut off and let it sit in the car for a few days, ran till warm again and drained. A few days later I poured off about 80% of the liquid clear. I would have though it would not have settle but that is what their website said so I let it sit and it did.
  3. You don't have to dump EvapoRust when it turns black. Drain into a pail and let sit for a day or two, all the black stuff settles to the bottom. Just carefully pour the clear off and reuse, adding in new to top off.
  4. Have any of you tried the Molotow Liquid Chrome Paint Marker they come as fine as 1mm. The last one I bought was around $14. On a very smooth surface it looks really close to chrome. Molotow makes many different colors of paint pens, I have several for special projects.
  5. I saw somewhere that Evaporust and ThermoCure were the same chemicals just different strength.
  6. We stopped in about 7 years ago and really enjoyed the collection. Very friendly staff. Wish the restaurant would have been open then but the staff pointed us in the right direction.
  7. Guess I was wasting time hanging around with all you old guys even longer, just looked and it says I have been hanging out since August 2000. Doesn't seem that long.
  8. Two friends swear by Bonide Mouse Magic Mouse Repellent. I just bought some to try in my camper. Has a minty pine smell that isn't objectionable. https://amazon.com/gp/product/B01IDXDU98/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have had good luck with dollar store dryer sheets.
  9. I had forgotten the bell. Never officially worked at a gas station but hung out at the local Shell most of my high school years. My best friend worked there part time and it became the hang out place for the gear heads in our circle of friends. We would pump gas when everyone was busy and the owner would let us use the wash bay for free and the lift if he wasn't using it. The other thing the owner of the Shell station did for those that hung out is he kept the big Coke bottles in the bottom two slots of the Coke machine, the other slots had the little bottles. Those that just stopped to grab a bottle would grab the more convenient upper bottles. We got a few looks when we were all drinking the big bottles but no one said anything. Now I hear the bell just as clear as back in the mid 60s.
  10. I have been to Lane twice in the last 6 years and had planned on going last Spring till Covid came along. Great museum. It is primarily a micro car museum but they have lots of other things too see like military vehicles, bikes, the nicest wood gasifier car I have ever see even in pictures and a lot more.
  11. This is a small but very interesting museum in North East TN. The owners are very supportive of the town and local car clubs. Several local car clubs use their facility for monthly meetings and party events. Not a destination but if your passing anywhere close you should make a side trip. Several other historic things in the area to combine with the Museum. Like David Crockett birthplace and Andrew Johnson National Historic Site. http://www.citygaragecarmuseum.com/index.html https://tnstateparks.com/parks/david-crockett https://www.nps.gov/anjo/planyourvisit/index.htm
  12. Yea, I painted my ramp with sanded paint also, it has held up pretty well for 10 years.
  13. I bought some cheap linoleum at a discount building supply store for my trailer. I picked a pattern that has about a 6" square pattern so it helps line up the car when I drive in. Has lasted about 10 years so far. Got a couple of tears but should last a few more years.
