  1. No, not green. At least I have never seen one in green.
  2. Here you are Craig, 1932 Studebaker Commander or Dictator. 1933 would have been the same.
  3. Are you referring to the 1953-55 Bill Frick cars or the 1932 street rod?
  4. I would like to get photos and serial (on frame under drivers side front fender) and body number (on firewall). Until receiving same will assume you are just pulling our collective legs!!
  5. Neat car. The model ER Standard Six was built from August 1924 thru August 1926. It was the smallest of the 3 models Studebaker offered at the time behind the Big and Special Sixes. The casting number F-6-4 indicates that the engine block was cast on June 4, 1926 so your car is a very late production 1926 model. The U.S. serial number range was 1202101 to 1346100 (Canadian 1951351 to 1954401) and the engine number range ER202501 to ER350001. I have lots and lots of documentation on the ER series and specifically the roadster. Below a few items. If you are interested in more send me a personal message. Incidentally I know of 3 other right hand drive ER roadsters!
  6. The car was re-restored with the side mounts and as been in the Studebaker National Museum for 3-4 years.
  7. That is not a Studebaker....not close. Maybe '38 Ford truck.
  8. Contact the Shrock Brothers in Pennsylvania. http://shrockbrothers.com/steering_wheels.html
  9. I knew Luther quite well and interviewed twice (this back in the '70's). He gave me his original copy of the contract he had with Studebaker re winnings at the 1932 race. Also have numerous photos of him. He also related his experiences re driving the race car blindfolded through city traffic at various towns and cities as a promotional stunt. He had a scrapbook full of articles. Did a family member end up with the scrapbook?
  10. Definitely NOT a Studebaker of any vintage. Studebaker never offered a high-wheeler.
  11. There is a wiring diagram on page 90 of the 1927 all models owner's manual as shown in images #1 & 2 below. However the Service Library Vol 7 has a better one (larger) see images 3-4 below. There is also 106 pages of info in Volume5 of the Service Library, see image #5.
  12. That is a pretty rare car. I used to own one, serial 2099681 and engine #EP40809, see image below. The serial range for all EP Big Sixes was 2060001 to 2102300, engine # range EP1 to EP40809 They were produced from August 1924 thru July 1926.The roadster body however was not introduced until early 1925. You may find a number on the firewall. You might be able to get an idea as to when you car was assembled by checking the letter number series on the side of the engine block. It would likely start with the letter F. Send that sequence and I will give you the approx. date of production. Cars with 2 wheel brakes had wood spoke wheels. Those with the disc wheels had 4-wheel brakes. I have a roster of all known '26 EP roadsters. This roster shows 11 survivors (12 with yours). Not all are complete and running about half are restored. I have lots of literature on the cars.
  13. If you look on the lower right hand corner of the last printed page you will see initials and or numbers. These will be the models covered by the manual. For example GB GE 50 would be the 1928 Commander (GB), the 1928 Dictator (GE) and 1927 Erskine (50). That way your prospective buyer will know if the manual is applicable to his car. I might add that this was one of the few owner's manuals of the era that covered multiple models. This practice was discontinued after 1928 so that every model had its separate manual. My owners manual files covers every owners manual Studebaker issued between the Electrics and 1966. Can reprint most of them.
  14. Prewar sheet metal to South BendI have a pair of 1939-40 President front fenders (taken off a restored car, like new), 1938 State Commander front fender (NOS, see image below). 1939-40 Champion front and rear fenders, nose piece, deck lid (sedan) that I could possibly deliver to the South Bend swap meet this weekend May 3-4, 2019. Let me know if any interest. Photos available on request.
  15. Attaching some of the literature I have on the '37 radios. Could reprint if needed.
  16. Have lots and lots of documentation on the EU series. Attaching page 1 of a data sheet that I made up decades ago. Lots more. It gives pertinent details including the serial range. The open tourings are pretty rare.
  17. Serial numbers are 7 digits, you are missing one. Check left front frame rail for plate. Or small body tag on firewall. Likely starts with EU.
  18. I have 21 items now running on ebay. Some unusual pre-war items. Check here: https://www.ebay.com/sch/studeq/m.html?item=312559135271&ssPageName=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562 Images below. Also have 1939 1940 Champion sheet metal. Inquire with needs.
  19. 1927 model EU. Depending on serial number could be a Standard Six or Dictator.
  20. I was at a huge car auction in Tucson about 20 years ago (Brooks Quinsler) where a '40 President like yours was sold. Is this the same car? I have a few pictures taken of it then.
