I don't know the official answer to this particular question. I did ask if handicap carts would be available for rent at the hotel and received a 'no' answer. You might not get an official answer until next week as most of the people who know are either in Philadelphia for the Annual meeting or trying to get there. Judy

Fran Shore called me earlier today from the Hotel. She and John arrived yesterday. She reported that only a few people were there. As a matter of fact, there weren't enough people for a quorum even at the committee level. The J C Taylor hospitality room couldn't open as the 'refreshments' were stuck in Upper Darby Pennsylvania. Last I heard she was going to the AACA Hospitality Room, which was due to open at 4pm. Judy

Thanks everyone for the replies. We have decided that we are going to Plan B and that is not to try and drive up until Friday. By then hopefully the snow will have stopped, the winds will have died down and the Interstate will be cleared. I have heard that several people that started out today have had to pull over and get Motel rooms. I would much rather wait it out at home. To the few that have made it to Philly - party on!! The rest of us are trying to get there. Until Friday afternoon ... Judy

Steve, I am the editor for the AACA 75th web site. I am in the processing of posting 75 years of the club's history including meets and tours. Hmn! I never thgought about it before but I wonder if the AACA Library would like to obtain copies of the AACA Tour books for reference. I could furnish a copy of the 1999 and 2009 tour books for Vintage Tour if they are interested. Judy

Your secretary should have listed you as editor when they mailed the Officer Reporting Form (OFR) to National. This is filled out yearly. Once National receives this and after Philly, the listed editor will receive a registration package. The names of those individuals that you need to send your newsletter to will be included in this packet. This is usually three members plus headquarters. They ask that you send you a copy to the current national President. You are not enrolled in the NAAP (Newsletter Achievement Awards Program) until you mail the registration packet back to National. This must be done each year even if you still hold the editor's job for another year. So you need to make sure that your OFR is filled out correctly and mailed back to headquarters. If the editor doesn't hear something by say the end of March, call National. Hope that helps. Judy

Pat, It probably has to do how the Region secretary filled out the paperwork. If they didn't list you both as co-editors then only you will receive the letter. Also it might just be a mistake. I am co-editor with Fran Shore for the Buzzard's Breath Touring Region. We received a Master again this year. Fran received a letter. I did not. After a talk with National yesterday, a letter is on its way as I type. So you first might want to check with the Region secretary. If they listed you as joint you might want to give National a call. Congratulations! Judy

Just be happy that they notified you won. In 2005, I won 2 service awards - the Ann Eady and the Spark Plug Award. I didn't receive a letter on either. I had also won 2 Master Editor awards that year. National assumed that I was coming because of the Masters so they didn't notify me. Their plan almost back fired as I almost didn't go that year and so I was late sending in the registration. I did get a inkling something was up when I received a call from the VP of National Awards asking me I was going to Philly that year. I must admit they did surprise me but it would have been nice to receive a letter to put in my AACA scrapbook. Judy

I have featured this web site several times in the Brass-Nickel Touring Region's newsletters. I have not ordered from them but their reproduction clothes are reasonable. Most are $50 or less. They carry a complete line of clothing as well as accessories. I noticed that they do carry plus sizes from 1x to 3x. According to their web page - "They are the largest online source for flapper costumes, gangster costumes, and Marilyn Monroe dresses. They have over thirty different costumes in a variety of sizes.
