  1. Hi Guys Part number for the 64 Wildcat convt Locking latches are 4813716 Rt. & 4813717 Lt. Parts book shows that these are the same from 1961 -64 full size Buicks For the 68 LeSabre, The "J" hook # 5716613, fits 1965-1972 All convts, All GM vehicles should be the same. The Locking Latches # 776258 rt, & 7762259 lt. fits 50/60/8000 Convts. The Cadillac handles are some what diffeent and will not fit other GM Vehicles. The Sunshade locking brackets for the early 61-64 GM vehicles are reproduced but quite expensive. The only locking latches being reproduced are the 1971 and later GM vehicles, Very expensive. I have several sets of the Locking latches for the 65 -70 cars, and some excellent used "J" hooks. Hope this helps. Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
  2. I have NOS Original 42-48 8 cyl Head, part # 554769 High compression. And A NOS Original Exhaust manifold 1941-1948 8 cyl Part # 414571. Both part are NEW and have never been on a vehicle, the head has some light surface rust from condensation and sitting so long. Both parts have original Olds green paint. Asking $ 225.00 for head, and $ 300.00 for exhaust manifold. Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
  3. Many years ago when I had My 70 Wildcat, and wanted to repair the trunk floor, especially over the frame body mounts. Never seen a Buick that didn't have the rusr/rot in this area. The corners at the wheel well. I discovered that Oldsmobile 1969-70 had the same floor design an my buick, but the olds did not have a body mount in this area, so the metal was still solid. With a little cutting and triming the panel fit quite nicely. I had to fabricate the body to frame mount, all worked out nicely. For your Wildcat find an Olds, B-Body. Good luck Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com

  6. Hello If you look on the edge of the lense, there should be a C.M. Hall, a part number and a size. This should help locate your lense. C.M. Hall made headlights for many cars, and many sizes of lenses. Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
  7. Hi Rocketraider Thanks for the response. This unit is in the original box from Oldsmobile and marked 64. Also written on the box is NoSpeakers. From inspection this unit seems to be new. I will let you know abour switch tomorrow, Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com

  13. Not only were they made of plastic, the emblem was the first piece to come in contact with a foreign object, such as another car, garage wall, fence, or other objects . Over the years the plastic became brittle and started cracking. I have seen "NOS" emblems still in the original box that have had stress cracks, usually this is the larger part of the emblem. The center tri=shield part usually held up quite good unless it was hit. There also was a LIMITED front bumper emblem, very rare to see one today, this emblem had a square insert with the LIMITED name and emblem, completely different from the standard series. When the Limited emblem was broken it was replaced with the tri-shield emblem. JIm Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
  14. Ok There are 2 bumpers on your car, front and rear. Is the bumper stip notched for bumper guards. Are the strips rubber or plastic? Jim Schilf /palbuick@aol.com

  16. Hi You will have to go to your Shop manual, or a wiring diagram of the starting system. The two wires are part of the wiring harness. Buick used this starting system for a lot of years , into the late 50's. Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com

  22. Your best way to go is to drop the tank, have it cleaned out and send tank unit somewhere to get repaired. 1969 & 1970 units are the same, could be that the float is corroded or stuck. These units are very hard to find new. Jim Schilf
  23. Try Bob's automobilia in Calif, or Cars INc. in N.J. Jim Schilf
