Rust Removal

Many years ago I let my son strip some rusty parts using Muriatic acid, in my garage.
The fumes from the acid attacked everything,
parts that had no paint turned rusty, including some tools. If using this stripping method make sure that it is used outside. For stripping sheet metal use a commercial stripper ,where the item is dipped
and for hard steel parts nothing beats a good bead blaster.

    freckles!!

    It worked for me.
My 70 wildcat was loosing some of the crome plating around the instrument cluster. I found some crome paint at a local hobby shop, that modelers use to paint crome trim
on model cars. comes in a pencil type tube with a felt tip, with a steady hand it worked great. Cost was about $3.00. You cant loose much trying.
  6. Almost forgot I had a 63 Invicta wagon several years ago. Has yours got the bucket seats, mine had buckets, column shifter, small counsel, P/s, P/b, Windows, A/C, P/bucket seat. This is a fairly rare wagon.
  7. Had the same problem with my 66 wildcat. After replacing all steering components, still had 3 to 4 inches play in steering, took steering box out, had it rebuilt and front end aligned. No more play, and a pleasure to drive.
  8. I would look for Factory service bulletins, from 1974 and 1975, these were bulletins and notices sent to dealers from Buick, informing them of changes, and updates on service and parts. This would be the only place you would find this information.
JIm Schilf / plabuick

Try Kenney Bell in california, he has a catalog of buick parts. at one time he had a lot of 300 parts, oversize pistons, cams, lifters and more.
Also the 300, 340 and 350 ci motors share a lot of interchangeable parts. If you want instant hp, put a 340 ci. with a 4 bbl. put the 300 valve covers on and no one will know the differemce, worke for me, and a lot more get up and gone.
