18. All your cylinders should have a code number on them. Stamped on the outside of the case, should be 4 numbers, this is the key code.
Depending what key you need, door and trunk lock are keyed the same. Take the cylinder in the case and take to locksmith and he can cut you a new key
 19. I need the Water outlet or goose neck from a 40 Buick , do you have?
Jim Schilf /palbuick@aol.com
 20. There is a seperate wire harness for the tape player. It has several flat plugs like the one on your radio, and it plugs into the radio and tape player. First thing I would do is have the player checked out to see if
it is working ok. Not too many work. I had one in my 70 and I used an adapter to play cassettes, good 8 tracks are getting scarce.
A good radio service person would be able to make the harness. The way it works is when you insert a tape into player it automatically shuts off radio and when removed the radio comes back on. I think you must have a two speaker system , for tape to operate properly

JIm Schilf / palbuick
 21. A little bonus for wildcat fans.
I have the dealer option list and codes for the 65 Cats. If you want copy send me E-Mail and I can E-mail one to you.
Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
 22. Glad to see other WIDCAT fans. My Wildcat fever started with a 63 H.T, many years ago, and have been hooked on them ever since. My 70 2 dr Ht. all black, with bucket seats floor shift, A/C Windows and P/seat was on of the best I have ever owned, many of my friends didn't believe that is was an every day driver. Now I have the ULTIMATE Wildcat.
1966 G.S.Wildcat Convt. With just about every option available fron the 2 X 4, to the wood wheel and cruise, windows, seat, tilt W/cornering lights 4 note horns, antenna, and bucket seats and tach. Of corse the car is RED with White top and interior. I am still trying to locate other owners of the GS
convt, so far have found 3(out of production
of 198) and a couple of leads.
If any of you 65 Cats are restoring one I have a NOS front radiator core support for sale, but I will not ship, to big to package.
I am located in the Rockford ILL. area.
I also have a friend who has a 65 4 dr H.T with the factory 4 speed, not for sale at this time.
Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
 23. I have an 88 Electra Wagon. Last set of rubber i put on were 235's. I don't think you can go any bigger due to turning radius.
A tip> Any of the station wagon wheels from 1970's to 1987 all had a 15 X 7 rim instead of the std 15X6 rims, These are the chrome sport rims.
 24. I used to sell headlight lenses years ago, for the antique cars.I learned from many people that the old flat glass did fade from sunlight, They went from clear glass to the tinted pink, due to the lead and chemicals in the glass. Many Model T owners wanted the pink lenses, knowledgeable owners would only purchase clear lenses. All this was from experienc and I am not a chemist.
Jim Schilf / palbuick
