4. Ther is one little thing you should purchase before removing unit. A plug for the rear trans, this will keep the fluid from running out all over the floor, a big mess. Available at most auto supermarket stores.
It slips over the rear shaft splines and seales the flud from leaking, once the unit is on floor or stand and level it can be removed. Remember the ground straps also.
Good luck
Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
 5. Several years ago I was in need of front springs for my wildcat. I located a hot line a 800 number to TRW, I talked for several minutes to a technician about my needs , I was told that original springs were not available but after checking specs on springs he was able to locate a spring of the correct height and tension to replace my original ones. Fit perfectly, and car was level. You might try an older parts store and get a tech number line.
Good luck
Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
 6. Which light cover do you need? On some models there is one in the center of roof, others have one on each side of inside sail panel. Is it the round plastic about 2 In. in diam. with the buick crest on it or a smooth lense. I have several of either style
used but excellent condition.
JIm Schilf / palbuick@aol.com

 25. There are several years that buick published a parts and illustration book for one year only. I believe that 1964 was the first and each year until 1969 this book was published.
If you can find one for your year car they are great. All had a RED cover and about 2 inches thick and covered all models of that year.
I recently purchased a parts book on E-Bay, a Master chassi and body dated Juli1 1962.
Both books had the same issue date, and covered from 1940 to 1962. They are around.
Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
