1. If my memory serves me right every once in awhile, Buick gave these flags away at one of the national meets, in a white cardboard box about 8 x8 " or about that size. I can't remember what year. Roberta or the old guy should know.
Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
 2. Heres my 2 cents worth.
A long time ago in a Junk yard in northern Wisconsin while shopping with several other club members I stumbled across a 1970 wildcat 2 dr Ht. with the factory 3 speed on the column, the 455 motor was gone, but the bellhousing and trans was still in the car. This was a typical farm country car, 3 speed on the column, cheapest interior, no A/C No radio, and a painted top, P/S, but no P.B.
Just about 8 yrs ago found a 1973 Century with the factory 3 speed on the colunm, anothe cheapie car, no carpeting, no radio. no p/s, no p/b. but it had glass and tires on it. A little smarter then I got all the 3 speed set up from the pedals to the trans, bellhousing all the clutch linkage, steering column, cross member, driveshaft, I didn't leave an extra bolt lying around.
The cars were out there.
Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com

 4. At a recent auction I purchased an Early Cadillac Hot water heater, and have no idea of what year it is for. I know that the collector who had this heater had several early 30's Cadillacs. Any Help appreciated.
Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.comhttp://www.infopop.com
 5. There was a long discussion some time ago about he rear end ratios. Seems that they will fit from 1941 through 1955, there is a wide range of gear ratios from these years.
Good luck
Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
 6. You and Many other people are going to find this out, one to three years after production the parts are discontinued and none will be available. Try finding NOS parts for a 1980 vehicle and newer,There are more 50's and 60 's NOS parts around now . Best advice is to get to know your local Buick parts mgr, and have him do a country wide search. Search E-Bay, and other Internet forms.
Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com

 16. If you hunt around you can locate a pamphlet from Buick issued 1939-1940 on the cleaning and care of the upholstery. This usually came with the owners manual. I have one somewhere and will try to find it and send you information. There a lot of new products today that will clean
the cloth interior.
Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
 17. That was one of the best parades I had ever been, especiallly all buicks. Drove my 49 Woody. The only Woody to be at the first of the Nationals in Flint. You can't imagine the Ooo's and AhAh's as the old woody drove past all those Buick Factory workers, Many who had done assembly line work on them. I think the only way someone would have old movies of this parade, would be someone from Flint, as 90o/o of the show cars were in the Parade. Try running an ad in the Bugle.
I still have the poster that was attached to the side of the vehicle, Identifying the year and owner.
Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
 18. I have restored a couple of these air cleaners. I glassbeaded it, light preassure.
You must remove all lettering and emblem before attempting this. A good primer coat, and finish with 1965/66 Buick Flame Red paint. The body is fiberglass so repairs are fairly easy. The top round tri shield emblem
is the same as the inside door emblem from specials 1963-64-?
Good luck
Jim Schilf palbuick@aol.com

 21. Hi Mike
Sorry no pictures in the parts book, only Dynaflow brake pedal. If you find you need bushings let me know I think I still have a set. 22. I have one spark plug cover left for the small series engine, good condition, @ $60.postpaid. Best bet for fuel pump is one of the Buick dealers, shoul be freshly rebuilt, don't bother with the NOS pumps , the diaghframs are dry and will go quickly.
BoB's automobilia, Cars INc.
Jim Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
 23. Some thng to think about . When pulling the motor and trans as a unit, the best way, you should have something to plug the rear of the trans so the trans fluid will not run out and all over the floor. Most auto supply stors sell a trans plug, don't know if standard one will fit.
Good luck
Jim Sxchilf / palbuick@aol.com
