  1. Sorry for continuing somewhat off topic, but my first car had a black painted roof over a yellow body. It was a ‘68 Plymouth Valiant - the Signet trim level with 318, disc brakes and other options. So kind of top of the line for a Valiant. I remember looking at the painted roof closely many times. If it wasn’t factory, it was a very professional job.
  2. I am looking for finished length - just wondering if anyone had that data. Unfinished projects are my weakness. Like an injured puppy. I just have to help them. 😳 There are many reasons why I shouldn’t pursue this. Time, space, other commitments, etc. But: Royale!
  3. Thank you for the additional pics. Does anyone know the total length of an 8-31?
  4. Oh no! I don’t think I can resist that temptation. Anybody looking for a nice ‘64 Lincoln convertible? I may need to free up some garage space.
  5. I had a ‘69 Caddy ragtop in Phoenix. Black leather seats. Only left it parked with the top down once. 😳
  6. Interesting. I did not know they had this option back then. Maybe not the best implementation but still cool tech for the era. Looks like a decent car. Another Edsel on one side and a GT Hawk on the other. I’d like to visit and check them all out.
  7. Cool car, but I don’t think any amount of cleaning can bring that interior back. Hard to tell the overall condition. For $13k asking price, I would have pulled it outside and washed it.
  8. That’s a great car. Looks very nice. I don’t love the color but the condition is so good that I could live with it. I agree the “4.1” is a typo and they mean the 401 ci engine. I wonder how hard it would be to clean the burnt rubber off the rear fenders? 😀
  9. Good find. Not my favorite year for the slab side Lincolns but it looks like it’s in good condition. New Mexico car should be pretty solid.
  10. Cool car. I wouldn’t call it “excellent” but it does look pretty good. I saw the location and immediately wondered if the AM radio constantly repeats “I got you babe.”
  11. Here’s another supercharged Avanti. At least I don’t think we’ve seen this one here before. More pics in the ad. https://vermont.craigslist.org/cto/d/essex-junction-1963-avanti-r2/7371127204.html 1963 Avanti R2 Automatic. 12. I like this car. Great body style and the body itself does look solid. The problem is that ‘67-68 Galaxies don’t typically bring much money. $6,500 is probably about right or maybe a little high for a car in this condition but with a good frame already in place. The frame swap is certainly doable but it will take a lot of labor hours. And there’s always a bunch of “while we have it apart” items like body mounts, brake lines, suspension/steering items, etc. So lots of time and money, even if you do it yourself. Hopefully someone likes it enough to go through all that and save it.
  13. I love the styling of these 1932 DeSoto roadsters. Price seems high but the ad mentions some rechromed parts. I would have preferred to see the original black rather than the primer. Same for the wire brushed running gear. I’d still check it out if I were close enough.
  14. My ‘65 Galaxie convertible came stripped. No power steering, no power brakes, 3 on tree. But with the 300hp Z code 390. Go figure.
  15. Control for a modern stereo. Or maybe that’s the entire unit right there. Bluetooth units get pretty small.
  16. Yeah, street rods with the 350/350 combo are almost as rare as Mustangs at a Ford show.
  17. Looks good. But you have to wonder if they actually want to sell it. One pic? No price? I guess I should be happy they didn’t include two pages of flowery history about the brand and unrelated famous REO owners.
