Speaking of alignment, What kind of alignment is needed for a Buick? My model is 34 Buick series 68C? Is it just the front wheels or all 4 wheels can be aligned ? I prefer to get white wall radials after aligned thanks Robert

Hello i have a small leak from the copper pipe that connects to oil cooler and engine block. The original 1/2 “ compression sleeve ( ferrule) won’t tighten or move . Having a hard time at local hardware stores finding the correct compression sleeve, the 1/2 ODO they sell is too large and their copper tubing isn’t t thick enough. My micrometer shows outside copper tube thickness as .055 Other club members suggested a refrigeration or HVAC hardware supply may have them? Anyone have any NOS for sleeves and copper or any other suggestions ? I also noticed it had lots of crud inside the cover. Maybe someone used paint sealer on inside cover? Thanks Robert

I went to Hershey for the first time last year. I did go to the white tent and the volunteers were nice and gave me a list of spots to visit. But I had no luck with any of the spots. Didn’t find any items for a 34/35 Buick Guess my dad bought all the parts over his 55 years walking Hershey 😇 i did make a sign that I wore on my front and back that got me some success with people approaching me with parts that had at home. The sign said WTB-WTS Buick part 1934-1935 with my name, cell and email.

1933 Buick 67 Light Switch Question - Sealed beams vs originals
Robert Winters replied to 1933gray's topic in Buick - Pre War
I put my own fuse box in for safety. A re-wire harness would needed to be routed under the dash anyways to connect to new fuse box -
1933 Buick 67 Light Switch Question - Sealed beams vs originals
Robert Winters replied to 1933gray's topic in Buick - Pre War
Congrats on all your hard work. I replaced my whole wire harness in 2022 with help from my buddy Richard Delgado. My 34 Buick 68C has 3 separate wire harness, I have all 8 of my "light switch" similar to yours working. My series has a floor foot switch that allows high/low beam ( city/country) driving per the manual. Does your have this option, think it came out in 1934. You can also contact Gene Zdunowski @ YNC wire harness in Redlands, Ca 909-798-1498. he gave me a detailed wire diagram. They make wire harness or will sell you the wire, loom, connectors, etc.. ( I bought overstock spools of 10/12/14 gauge and built it myself ) You can DM me if you want extra details on your connections. here is another thread that may be useful. https://forums.aaca.org/topic/386670-looking-to-make-my-own-1933-buick-67-wiring/#comment-2445973 Cheers Robert -

1933--how do I remove steering wheel from column?
Robert Winters replied to Pete Phillips's topic in Buick - Pre War
We just shipped a complete steering wheel attached to column as one piece, we boxed the wheel in a box and the lower light switch in a separate box. it shipped with no problems. -

Costco car lift/jack safe for lifting a heavy Buick
Robert Winters posted a topic in Buick - Pre War
Are these Costco "Quickjack" garage jacks/lift safe for a 5k Lbs. Buick, will they safely lift the Buick up from the frame or will they damage the frame? Lifting capacity shows up to 7k Lbs. -
Hi Frank, Will it fit a 1934 series 60 thanks

Looking to make my own 1933 Buick 67 Wiring
Robert Winters replied to 1933gray's topic in Buick - Pre War
I just completed my new wire harness for my 34 Buick 68C Glad i did, I had my good friend Richard Delgado help ( Richard also replaced and made his harness himself for his 33 Buick 90L and has a nice schematic of his work ) I bought 10 "over stock" spools of 100' wire each a different color, sizes of 10, 12 and 14 Gauge for about $450 and another hundred for loom, connectors, shrink wrap from https://www.ynzyesterdaysparts.com/ YNZ wanted $1,100 for the harness and extra $300 for added turn signal/directional wire and relay for $1,400 total. I wanted to keep my car "original/preservation" category and was told from many sources that keeping your car "safe" with a new wire harness doesn't really work against any "judging" or whats needed for a safe driving car. I also added in a fuse box under the dash so i needed to modify the new harness anyways to be routed to the new fuse box. What i can also tell you, I know where every single wire goes and for what purpose, I removed some badly worn out insulation behind the firewall cover and replaced with non-original heat shield for my own safety, nobody can see that anyways. While you are laying under the frame it was a good time to clean and inspect the underside anyways. I asked YNZ wire how much for the labor to install and they said they don't offer that anymore with the liability and cost of insurance. I kept my 6 volt system in place. My harness was in essence 3 sections, I decided to run extra long wires and crimp/solder/heat wrap after loom is all routed thru the frame. It would be horrible to be a few inches shy with a new harness. I also have a battery kill switch mounted in front of passenger side seat ( no need to lift seat any longer to disconnect battery ) Just my 2 cents, but just by buying a new harness, you still have to pull out your old wire harness and install a new one so the labor time is the same. HTH Robert -
