  1. "Up" for the topic. Unfortunately we still cannot find main / rod bearings fro the CP8 rebuild. Any idea which model could fit and where to find ones?.. shaft will be downsized. Thanks.
  2. Dear Community, We are looking for the crankshaft's main bearings for a Chrysler CP8 1932. The engine will undergo a rebuild, so the shaft will be downsized. I've tried to contact couple of shops, including EGGE, but they do not have main in stock. Any advise where to get ones (actually, rods' bearings will be also interesting) or probably any details on their sizes just to find matching parts?.. Regards, Eugen p.s. this is a kind of repost from main technical forum as there was very little response on the question.
  3. Yes, I've already contacted them. Nothing on stock for main ones, only rods'. Is it possible to get the size of the undersized bearings? Then we might find some similar ones.
  4. Probably you are right, thanks! Need to check once again, if we need to machine the block itself (the "beds") or it's enough to undersize the shaft. Any ideas where to get undersized bearings?
  5. Interesting. CP8 has "normal" bearings as metal inserts, as we know it from nowadays. The problem is, we have "nominal" size, but we need "oversize" ones, for the "undersized" crankshaft after machining.

  7. This car is being restored in Russia. You can believe it or not, but there is no way, you can order spokes in Russia. Only one type for motorcycle 😕
  8. Thanks for advise! Could you recommend anyone who can do it?.. p.s. here one work on used ones. Just because it's not possible to order new parts 😕
  9. Hi Guys, Thanks a lot for all your replies and suggestions! Highly appreciate them :) Actually in my first post I also included a link to the vehicle. This is Cadillac La Salle 1927. We are not in US and do not have that many options here to have them reproduced, that's why I though there might be a company which focuses on such kind of stuff, like some doing rubber parts. This will be also a bit complicated to send the wheel overseas but we will recheck it. Regards, Eugen
  10. Dear Community, We are restoring this Cadillac La Salle and faced to an issue - the wheels do not look good. We wanted to disassemble them and "rebuild" the spokes, just put chrome on them Unfortunately it's almost not possible to unscrew the nuts 😕 Does anyone have an idea if it's possible to buy such spokes on the market new (or used in good conditions)?.. Thanks for any advise in advance, Have a nice holidays, Eugen
  11. Just had a look on it, thanks. The problems is - I do not know the original part number, and the picture on Steele Rubber does not look same to our one - I believe, our seal is in "close-loop" and here there is an opening. https://www.steelerubber.com/rear-quarter-vent-weatherstrip-30-0493-77 Do you probably know the original part number for cross-check?..
  12. Which year was it? I've learned, mid of 31st Chrysler improved cylinder head / gasket to solve cooling issue of straight 8, especially for 6/7/8 cylinders - one can see more "wholes" in the gasket for water circulation
  13. Hi! We are also restoring a Chrysler CP8 1932 and would like to get some service manuals if they exist. Unfortunately, I cannot send you direct message as I am new at this Forum and system have not yet approved me doing that. Could you probably send me a message. Thanks.
  14. Dear community, We are looking for the window seals for a Clipper 1947 (see the picture below, marked in red). The current ones are quite old and will die soon 😕 Thanks, Eugene
  15. Dear Community, We are restoring an 1932 Chrysler CP-8, see the post here I was told, Dodge's 1930 3sp transmission had been used back in the days to replace the flawed Chrysler's 4sp one. Any ideas where to get it?.. Thanks, Regards, Eugene
