  2. I've had types 1,2,&4. No Karmann Ghia's. The type 4's were a neat car but the Karmann Ghia was one that I would have liked to have had. Would have to look the body over real closely before committing myself to this one. On the surface it looks pretty good.
  3. If you can't get in it you could always wear it.
  4. I'd like to see more photos of the Falcon hardtop in the background.
  5. Whoever picked out the interior for this car should be congratulated. It is very attractive.

  7. If the original headliner and upholstery is serviceable I would not change it. I have had more comments on mine and it's not this nice. It's like stepping back in time.
  8. This body style from the mid 30's is very attractive and will probably always be so.
  9. 11. No one has mentioned yet what that is sticking out of the rear bumper near the center. I sure hope it's not a trailer hitch ball.
  12. That makes me grit my teeth. I think I'd try Marvel Mystery oil or Rislone first. A little smoke coming out of the tailpipe on a twenties or thirties car just seems natural. That and steaming breather tubes in cold weather.

  15. Sharp looking car. Looking into those big headlights reminds me of looking into a Dragonfly's eyes.
  16. I think m-mman pretty much nailed it. $500 dollars isn't much today. especially if you consider the price to ship anything. Depending on the parts you need this could be a real bargain. If I could find another DeSoto in this condition for that money it would already be setting out back.
  17. I don't know about attention but I'd say the Shoebox Ford would provide the most specimens. Seems like they sold a lot of those. They were everywhere when I was in high school.
  18. They were part of the era. When's the last time you saw someone in shorts walking around with that waffle pattern on the backs of their legs? I can remember how sticky those things were in the summer.
  19. Nice looking old slab side. Not a fan of these large cars and their poor gas mileage but for a Sunday drive this could be pretty rewarding.
