  1. As far as market data points, this one just sold on BAT yesterday... https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1954-kaiser-darrin-12/
  2. The link in the original post at original price (at the top) is expired - however, the NEW link immediately above with the reduced price works just fine
  3. Looks tempting to me as well... however, it clearly needs some additional sorting AND the OCD part of me would want to fix the rear-end damage... And if I did that, well then do I paint? Then it's starting to look like the "water is rising fast" --- hope it finds a good home.
  4. Once again - price vs. condition is the first alarm flag. The second flag is limited contact info. The third flag is limited "quality" photos from strange angles. The car badges affixed to the front bumper on this car are almost a unique fingerprint - add to that the wire wheels - and you have something to look for to see if it may be a scam. I find this link: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1969-triumph-tr6-29/ Car sold on BAT in 2021. Did the buyer purchase in 2021 and is now selling for less? I think not. Buyer beware, pretty sure this is a scam. (pictures from BAT)
  5. Arguably, the money-shot for this car shows the car from this angle (a car sold online way back) - - - I see what appears to be yellow duct tape around the back window / trunk area - which causes concern for what must be going on back there.
  6. Wow, you could eat off the engine, but I'm not sure I'd want to sit on the upholstery - - - and I fail to find the "common theme" for the desired trades lol
  7. According to FaceBook, the Seller is Ken Vaughn, he has 4 items posted for sale - no Lincoln posted...
  8. To be fair, it looks like a set of keys are in the ignition - so - the Seller appears to suggest he has an extra set to go with the car - - - yes, pull it (or push it) out for photos
  9. I presume he means 'no longer available' - Facebook link no longer works
  10. I agree that wire wheels give the car more flair - like this one - not mine
  11. Not Mine Price reduced to $24,000 - been for sale for awhile - previous thread below... New Link: https://orlando.craigslist.org/cto/d/deland-rolls-royce-1936/7703345601.html Current description altered slightly... Quote " 1936 Rolls Royce model 25/30 sedan. #GHL-30 Runs and drives OK. Very original condition. Good interior. Engine strong-no smoke. Will need some TLC. A large car built like a tank. Restore to your liking or use as is. Great project for the winter. Priced below market. Offers welcome."
  12. According to Aaron Woods... Battalion Chief SF Fire Dept... The following picture is a Fageol tank wagon. And, Fageol was an SF Bay Area-based truck builder. The company went bankrupt in/during the depression and its assets were purchased by what later became Peterbilt. Gonna need a lot of work to restore the original post
  13. I have no information to explain the mileage on the car posted - but - I visited my elderly parents two weeks ago - they showed me the receipt for the work done on their Honda CRV in the last 3 months - all the auto-shop paperwork had been filled out with the expected next oil change instead of the real date and mileage. The date of the work was 6 months into the future and the mileage was 3000 miles into the future. So, if someone looked at "shoddy" autoshop paperwork instead of the car - and the first person to see the car spotted the discrepancy... ...the owner could be in an embarrassing position - sometimes truth is weirder than fiction - Happy New Year
  14. Thanks for the additional information Bill... Previous thread for reference...
  15. Hello Bill, As John pointed out, if you really want to help Linda find a new buyer, we need more information. From the area code 310, we can guess the car is in southern california. From the Durant Motors Internet Forum, we can find a recent listing for Linda, and an older one for Derek. These listings indicate the location as Fallbrook, CA. With that information, I came across this poster from the 2018 Fallbrook Vintage Car Show. The caption indicates the vehicle in the "Right Front" of the poster is a 1929 Durant Model 40 – owned by Derek and Linda Lovett. Is this the car? If so, the illustration is good looking, but car enthusiasts will want to see actual pictures, which you can upload onto this site at no cost. Please share this info with Linda. Hopefully it helps.
  16. I can find the auction listing - but no result - maybe it didn't hit reserve? https://listings.worldwideauctioneers.com/product/1929-cord-l-29-special-tourer/
  17. Appears to be scam - this card sold for $100,000 on Bring-A-Trailer https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1959-mercedes-benz-220s-22/
