A parts car that needs everything. I don't think those valve cage covers have been off in 50 years. 1200 hundred just because I have a 31 and need to repair/replace a rear lower leaf.

One thing I notice here and it is just like my 50 Chrysler Newport coupe is that when you roll down the door windows it takes the upper chrome with it and leaves a "void" of chrome while the back windows is just chrome surround and stays. It strikes me as odd they would design it this way. It is much more pronounced on the Chryslers. Looks like something is just missing when the windows are down. I do like this car. What makes it a Riviera ?

Trying to figure the paint loss and why it looks this way. Just the doors? And IMO the engine looks like it was sprayed with a gallon of brake parts cleaner? Guessing this car sat for some time. On the radar but boy I would go over it personally for a few days. Just a couple wierd things that make me go Hmmm

My Brother still is in Blue Point and he says Nassau County is slowly creeping that way. Great place to grow up. Miss it quite a bit but don't miss the taxes and cost of living -

I grew up on the South Shore in Blue Point (oysters) and spent many a day out east. Wading River, Rocky Point, ect all have great farms still. Peaches and Pumpkins. Many a sod farm. Have a buddy who started a hop farm a few years back. Just a great old area with lots of history. Father was a fireman forever at Camp Upton (Brookhaven National Lab) and was a WW 1 recruit training area (Yip Yip Yaphank) and boy was that a place to explore. But yes, vineyards have really taken over. Thanks for bringing back some memories. -
My 63 Dodge 880 had rear brakes sticking. Wasn't the hose swelling. Changed that. Nothing. Head scratcher. Ended up disconnecting the hard line to rear from the master and found out I could pull and hold a vacuum on it. Now that was a fun one to bend and replace. Became a expert on popping those drums.
