  1. Guessing some states are worse then others to get a title. I have never had issues in Texas. Longest it has ever taken is 4 weeks wait . https://www.txdmv.gov/motorists/buying-or-selling-a-vehicle/bought-a-vehicle-with-no-title
  2. Wide block 318's known as the "Semi Hemi". Have one in my 65 Fury and it is pretty peppy https://www.streetmusclemag.com/tech-stories/engine/video-what-is-a-mopar-318-polysphere-and-how-come-nobody-likes-it/
  3. Lets just dive into the battery and battery cable issue. These are positive ground systems. Plus the sizing is all wrong
  4. Great looking car. I bet you could have gotten this with a 4 speed too. The 361 was getting long in the tooth at this point. Surprised not a 413.
  5. Looks like a decent car but wonder if the OD is an add-on. If not a special order option? The knob is where the free-wheeling knob is on 31's
  6. This woll run for ever with just a few oil changes. Or till Biden decides all old cars need an EV swap or be scraped
  7. I find it interesting that when going from reverse to park, that park is so far over to the left you're basically putting it in a new zip code.
  8. The thermometer and compass was always required on vacations to FL and when driving past 200 or so South Of The Border billboards. I remember broiling in a 68 travelall going to FL from Long Island in 1972 and Dad needed that thermo and compass for his gas stop journal updates. "Hit Georgia and my balls are stuck to the seat and 98 degree's" (Actual entry)
  9. Another great bargian. I have a 49 that looks this good (minus interior pics) that hit the bank account for more
  10. The blue is a nice change from the browns you always see. Both my 31's, a Franklin and Plymouth, are Redish Maroon and Black.
  11. I have an all original 53 Plymouth with the low gas filler above the rear bumper. You can't help but drip fuel when filling. Modern fuel has taken off a dollar bill size down to red primer swatch under it of the original paint as well.
  12. I would trade my 49 Buick Road Master for one. An easy trade for me
  13. What Hudson was in the latest Robert DeNiro Jimmy Hoffa movie ? It was a 4 door and a great looking car in the beginning of the movie.
  14. I am thinking that only a 2 week old murder scene in late July would smell worse.
  15. Thanks for replies. I will move it onto the lift this weekend and get it in the air after driving and see if it is leaking from the above mentioned places. It has been a week since I refilled with 2 quarts after seeing the puddle. Ran it up warm and added 2 quarts to normal. Now cool and showing overfill after 4 days of sitting. No new puddles.
  16. This is the second time this has happened in 4 years. The first time after a 1600 mile trailering. The second time sitting when temps dropped to 3 degree's. A huge puddle of trans fluid. It just seemed to drain 2 quarts on the floor. (it took 2 quarts to fill back) Each time I refilled it and it didn't drain out. Each time I started the car after the episode and added fluid to the full mark very slowly, letting it warm up. Each time after shutting the car off and checking it when cool it was now over full. Start the car it goes back to normal. Drives fine. After a couple drives the fluid level remains normal. Is there a check valve of sorts somewhere that is getting hung open? Running Dex/Merc
  17. In my younger days we would leave this as is and retard the timing on cruise night so kiddo's would think a junk pile was next to them. Find one of them in an IROC for a quick 100 bucks. Get the met up planned on hospital road in Patchouge and drive around the corner to my buddies house and set the timing and swap out for street slicks. The 80's was a grand old time for left over muscle before the prices went nutzo. These were great sleepers with the rear gears upped, cammed, with a bigger carb and headers.
  18. I was thinking of screwing some old pallet lumber to the sides of my 31 Franklin but this look changed my mind. I will instead screw some old pallet lumber to the sides of my 46 Dodge and use shelf paper on the dash
  19. People have mentioned repro also exists for the 39 Chrysler dash plastic but I think it is like a sasquatch sighting.
