  1. I think the Cougar just listed beats Chrysler styling hands down here The side profile , especially the nose, just looks awkward to me.
  2. Looking where the horn is mounted isn't this a 31? 32's were on the outside? I have a 31 PA that was advertised as a 32 because that was the year it was registered. This had the one year carb DRT-08 for the vac on the distributor and many were tossed in favor for the better carbs in 32. The air cleaner has been modified with a "weedeater" air filter attached which is a shame as these original's were tossed when the newer 32 carbs were swapped. Quite hard to find air filter. You always find these running either the newer carb or like when I got mine, something more common for other makes. Mine had this one for a larger displacement chevy. That is the DRT-08 replacement on the right. The newer carbs that replaced these were far superior hence only 1 year and forget about finding the correct rebuild kits.
  3. color seems popular for that time. I have a 31 Franklin and 31 Plymouth about matching paint schemes
  4. I don't think the cam in these required reserve vac, bet your right. Unless the power windows needed vac
  5. Nice car for the price. small things needed if the listing is correct. You see about the air filter, they never got around to hooking up the hose from the blower motor to it for the early turbo feel. It was disconnected from the blower to core and never put back on
  6. Lovely car but it seems the dash design was an after thought. Compared to the rest of the car it is like having a 1955 refrigerator front staring back at you while Chrysler was going into full "Wurlitzer jukebox" mode.
  7. We are finally get perfect driving weather here in North Texas after a pretty hot summer. But I sure miss the leaves falling and the brisk mornings of the northern states. Doubt we get much color this year with the drought. Had a great mid afternoon drive today with it right around 80 stopping for lunch at my buddys place.
  8. All the vacuum lines and actuators for the heat/AC control and the plastic connection block that is always brittle the nipple connections just snap off sucks beyond belief. I gave up on fixing mine in a 63 dodge as that connection block is impossible to find or repair. Mine turned to dust on removal. I just mounted a seperate switch for the heater blower motor and manually open the damper for winter driving. Unless he has a NOS one here I doubt those controls are working. Everything is just vacuum control. The nipples on these controls just snap off.
  9. The interior takes me back to a hot and humid Long Island late July when Mom got her first new couch and chair and wanted to save the fabric with plastic slip covers. God I can still remember peeling yourself off those things and that sound to go with it.
  10. I am guessing my 31's are in super, over the top, never before seen, condition. The past winters dust is just all the minty-ness rising to the top.
  11. Thanks for sharing. The pictures take me back. Sure do miss upstate NY this time of year
