  1. There is not a sharp surface anywhere on this tool.
  2. I've had this tool for years and no one has come up with a diffinite answer as to what it is or how it was used. Wood handle about 11 inches long and with an L inside a diamond for a manufacturers logo.
  3. there is a 626 Remy distributor on ebay right now. eBay item number:116046371427
  4. I will have rotor, cap and points in stock
  5. Here is a partial data sheet from a 1930 Guaranteed Parts Co catalog.
  6. I believe the shaft that the cam and nut are on has a slight taper to it and a corresponding taper on the inside of the cam. Once loose, the cam can be rotated to facilitate proper timing. Use a penetrant like PB Blast and give it time to work. Remember it didn't become stuck overnight, chances are that a few drops of PR B and time will do the trick.
  7. Agota F noticed your post looking for a 1918 Cadillac cap. I am the distributor of the new bakelite caps here in the US as mentioned up a couple of threads. I do have a cap for an 18. Where are you located? If you are in Europe, Peter will better serve you because of shipping. Tom
  8. Graham Man, contact me, I will have what you need/ 402-359-5762 or tsvanmeet@gmail.com Tom
  9. Why not use original parts????? They will probably be the last set of points you will ever need

  11. Ed, you can contact me at 402-926-6909 or tsvanmeet@gmail.com Tom
  12. How much compression in each cylinder?
  13. Bird dog, for starters, I need to know whether you have an Autolite or Bosch system on the car. Autolite bought Bosch in the mid part of 1926 so some cars are Autolite and some where Bosch. Tom
  14. 57 MIke, don't know if you can or not, so let's try. I will PM you tom
  15. 57 Mike, pictures of the caps and rotor that I have. Give me a phone number on a PM and we can discuss/ Tom
  16. This point set came two different ways. (1) as an assembled unit or (2) as two pieces. Don't know which one you have but it appears the fiber bushing has moved in the point arm, allowing the arm to slip down. I would take the unit out and see where the bushing rides and adjust if necessary. Tom
  17. Alan, I have those parts for the IGB4006B distributor. You can PM me for more details. I'm not sure what you mean by a "rotor arm" All my parts are NOS. Tom
  18. I have the correct one in stock. You can PM me Tom
  19. Read what Stude Light just wrote. The Pertronix units are unpredictable at best on older cars. I probably receive 2 calls per month from people that installed a unit and can't make it work. They are frustrated and are switching back to the original points etc Old buicks the ignition parts guy
  20. 46 Buicksuper, I have several coils for the early 40s Buicks. I will send you some photos. Tom
