  2. Looks like it was a nice car once (guess they all were once). Quite a few things wrong for this price...wonder what's going on with the tape on the window? https://abbotsford.craigslist.org/cto/7561561106.html For sale a 1949 cadillac 62 series.Selling for a friends dad that has moved away.Engine turns over but wont start. Brand new 6v battery. Master cylinder has been removed so no brakes. Comes with new master cylinder and 4 wheel cylinders. Few rusty spots but no holes I have found. Also comes with a car cover. email: edcd3baf15b83a0382a433552578bcd1@sale.craigslist.org
  3. I had a Mustang with T-tops, I believe it was an '81. There was really no way you could have a shade on them since they were removable. It was actually a nice feature since with them out you really had the convertible feel with no wind buffeting. They were very dark glass so the additional heat wasn't a problem, at least where I lived (not a hot area).
  4. The seller has both ends of the performance spectrum covered! (note Cobra in background)
  5. Interesting and uncommon car, even in the UK. Probably if you did a lot of the work yourself and the wood was all good, you could have a nice $15,000 car and only spent close to that in restoration costs.
  6. Not much less than what they actually sell for but unusual as an asking price!
  7. Nice car, but this is "all the money" for one of these. Not sure how grinding the gears damages the clutch. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/7560787659.html# 2nd owner all original 6cyl 207 3spd straight body all glass good rebuilt generator and carburetor great brakes and emergency brake new tires no rust California car drivers nice might need a clutch the old man grind the gears must see $28000 (650) 400-4174
  8. I had a brand new one, ordered special with the (if I remember correctly) 9NC1 Police package. When it showed up, the rear badging said Buick!
  9. I always wonder about half finished projects...lots of "potential" i guess. Price listed as two different amounts... https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/7559734178.html Body and all chrome done. Needs top but have material for it. Needs upholstery. Was running when parked, but is not running now. The car was red when first bought (this year) but car now just has the primer and is ready to be painted. Car shown in black is what it has potential to be. $12,500 63195c9a594534d0b5072e5e81ba0bed@sale.craigslist.org
  10. Not sure what's up with that...Here's a link again: https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/cto/7560476179.html
  11. Reasonable price! https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/cto/7560476179.ht Here is a 1950 Studebaker Champion Bullet-Nose 4 door. It had been non-op for 12 years when I rescued it in July. Documentation shows it has less than 2,000 miles since a engine rebuild. I put new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and points in it and started it up with a plastic gas tank feeding the carb. The fuel pump pumps ugly old gas into a jug under the car. The tank will need to be boiled out. The hydralics of the brakes will need to be replaced.I have 3 other projects (one a 1951 Studebaker) and don't wan't a fourth. Parts are readily available. I have the shop manual and chassis parts catalog. I can also give you information about parts vendors. This car needs to get back on the road. It will get lots of attention without putting a ton of money into restoration. email:680463a705493205b794043c6e4e8c5c@sale.craigslist.org
  12. Unclear what else is needed. Does not appear to be a "real" Red head (same as my first wife). https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/7560012531.html 1926 chrysler coach with wooden wheels.75% finished. needs upholstery and various items installedand finished. No texts (206) 730-8912
  13. Looks like a great way to get into the hobby! Not "correct" but a very usable car. https://corvallis.craigslist.org/cto/7557514965.html email: c31583a5b4f034fd94e4bada311f509a@sale.craigslist.org I bought it several years ago and I really enjoy it, but I rarely take it out so I am selling it on to someone else who will appreciate it as much as I have. I really wanted to keep this all stock, so it still has the original engine and transmission, and is still the original 6 volt electrical system. I rebuilt the engine when I first got it (including having the radiator rebuilt), and have only put a few miles on it since then. I also rebuilt the front end and replaced the brake shoes recently. Some details:3-speed manual transmission (on the steering column).217 cubic inch straight 6 (this is the engine that came standard with the manual transmission)Aftermarket turn signals (installed before I got it)I am flexible on price. If you are interested, please email me via craigslist, and I will respond with phone contact info.
  14. Looks nice, the Packard crowd can comment on the price https://goldcountry.craigslist.org/cto/7560097563.html# 1947 Packard Super Clipper Sedan, older restoration of a full Classic Car Club of America classic sedan. This is the long wheelbase model 2103 with the big 356 cubic inch Packard Straight Eight engine, three speed transmission with factory overdrive. The car was restored in the late 1990s and driven by the then owners from Colorado to the 1999 100th Anniversary Meet in Warren, Ohio. The car had been in dead storage in Wyoming for the past approximately 20 years until early this year. We have gotten the engine running well, and sorted out several electrical gremlins but the car requires further "waking up". The clutch and throw out bearing are not fully operational, the headlight switch is missing, and the dash was partially disassembled by the previous owner to work on the light switch. We have run the car through the gears but the clutch is still an issue so it is not driveable at the present time. These cars are very sought after as they are wonderful driving and touring cars and their values have been increasing. Car was sold new by Mountain Motors in Denver and has always been in the west so rust free. A bargain for the handy mechanically savvy buyer. Clear Colorado Title. Call Chris for details at 530-400-0540, car stored at my home in Nevada City, CA, 1 hour from Sacramento. Happy to cooperate with shippers.
  15. Right! the original idea by GM engineering was that they wouldn't need a radiator because the aluminum engine conducted heat so well. Overheating was their down fall. There was an excellent discussion on the Hemmings blog: https://www.hemmings.com/stories/2020/06/23/ask-a-hemmings-editor-what-gave-the-vega-engine-its-bad-reputation
  16. These and the similar Opals are really fun cars that will draw tremendous attention at any show!
  17. No, that was her late husband's favorite. Her son is a car guy, but I've never seen him with either a pre-war car or a project. I think she'll be with us quite a while longer. She's going to be 89 soon, but she's one of those unstoppable people. She fell off the roof about 8 years ago when she was cleaning the gutters but as she said "I landed in the bushes so it wasn't too bad. Anyway, I was able to go back up and finish before everything started hurting".
  18. As a young guy back in the 70's I never wore safety glasses and ended up in the ER a couple of times with glass in my eyes (slow learner). Now I have some safety glasses that have the bi-focal close up lens at the top as well as the bottom. As a result I can see things with them I can't see with out them. They are my favorite tool!
  19. I had about 30 hyperbaric "dives" some years ago. You just lay there and watch TV. Takes quite a while to get "down to depth" and then get back again.
  20. I think this is where the road test mentions "high lift over height" on the cargo compartment.
  21. I have felt for a long time that what ever automotive jewel your heart may desire, it's probably in a garage or barn closer to you than you would ever imagine. As proof of this, a few years ago I mentioned to an older neighbor that I had an old Chrysler in my garage. She said, oh really? I do too! Naturally I asked to see it and so we went to look. I expected a 62 New Yorker but there, under lots of boxes was a '33 CQ Imperial. It belonged to her grand father. She said she's not selling it because she thinks her son wants it. I'd be interested in hearing similar stories!
