My starter drive does not look much different than todays drive.. My curiosity is piq'd by the stamping "BIJUR Pat. applied 1914". I thought Cadillac had the lock on that product when they said their model 1916 was first self starter.

My starter drive is stamped "BIJUR pat'd 1914". How can this be , if Cadillac claims the first self starter in 1916??

If Cadillac is hailed as the first SELF starter in 1916, Why is my BIJUR starter drive stamped 1914 ?? LOU

I have a SUPERIOR Interchange that covers 1930 to 1965, and a HOLLANDER interchange that covers 2940 to 1950. They interchange everything in and on most vehicles. Happy to research any questions. LOU
