  1. Too much attitude in this ad, but it might be a fair deal.... https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/sacramento-1956-dodge-royal/7727276625.html 1956 Dodge Lancer Royal, inherited from late grandfather in law (4th gen family owned). Was restored out of state about 15 years back. When I inherited it, it ran fine but had a transmission leaked. Took it in to have seals replaced, and was told the seals were replaced, but jokes on me, they lied and it kept leaking. Will need trans and brakes rebuilt. Has been sitting for 4 or 5 years. There is a lot of potential, but its in rough shape and getting worse by the day. 2500 bucks, bring your trailer, and get it out of my driveway. Dickheads and tire kickers get ignored. No, I do not have more information. Needs someone with knowhow and time and energy to bring it back. Took best in show back in may 2014 at the holy something or other auto show. 49k original miles, super red ram v8, edelebrock electric carb, powerflite push button auto trans. CLEAN CA TITLE. DOES NOT RUN! WILL NEED TO TRAILER HOME! Lets make this the last time I have to post it on here. Thanks for reading. email: 303b1b0c052637e79c59e0ab6b9664dc@sale.craigslist.org
  2. One thing about Uncle Sam: he was very big on documentation! I'm sure there were military service manuals running hundreds of pagers. You should check with the military vehicle forums. There probably were Army and Navy versions of this vehicle as well.
  3. The title isn't Non-op. That's the registration. It allows you to pay no fees while you aren't driving it and you can return it to operating status at any time. Has nothing to do with selling it unless you are in California, and then it's a good thing.
  4. My hall bath (circa 1935) has a pink tub, pedestal sink and ceramic sconces. Toilet had to be replaced under "low flow" regulations.

Needs some work: • Water pump leak • 2 pistons not firing • Clutch sticking • Brakes • Exhaust leak
  7. I'm not a Buick guy (yet) but that compound carburetion is so unusual on an American car. I am aware it only appeared briefly. I wonder if it was something that caused trouble because mechanics were unfamiliar with it. Pretty common on European cars in the "Inline era".
  8. Here's the ultimate Buick straight 8 speedster: https://revsinstitute.org/the-collection/1939-bu-merc/

  10. You rarely see this model, which I think looks better than the later waterfall grill. I had a '46 and I can tell you that modern wheels and tires (as this has) really throws off the steering geometry. Pretty easy to fix. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/cto/d/santa-cruz-38-chevy-pickup/7726644283.html 1938 Chevy pickup. Not a hot rod. Original 216 motor. switched to 12 volt battery. Runs great, starts right up. A little play in steering gear. New tires. (510) 459-9469
  11. Made me think of the 50s and 60s when my friends would drive to Tijuana MX for a cheap "Tuck and Roll" job.
  12. If it had a pre-war engine (and not a flat head V8 Ford), it would be a lot better.
  13. Right O! if you could get it to the drivable chassis point, it would be stellar! Here's a chassis at Pebble Beach: Bugattis were often driven in this form to the coach builders.
  14. Wood looks like it needs some help! (more pics in ad) https://santabarbara.craigslist.org/cto/d/santa-barbara-1950-ford-country-squire/7726259651.html 1950 Ford Country Squire Woody Woodie Surfboard Surf Surfing Wagon Super clean flat V8 all original 3-speed (3 on the tree) manual transmission Shifts great and starts up on on the first crank. 15. You don't expect much for two grand.... https://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/cto/d/lake-arrowhead-1915-buick-touring/7726316939.html 1915 Buick parts, driveline is complete, engine turns over, trans, front suspension, rear end, wheels & tires. Body is rough, wood framing is very poor, metal is all there. Seat springs are there, as well as the top bows. Dry rot, and maybe termites, have eaten much of the body wood. As a restoration project, needs a talented wood-worker. On wheels and tires, rolls. Steering is tight, essentially stuck. chassis 123509, engine 123629 All for $2000. seven zero two, three two four, two eight five nine.
  16. That is REALLY something! I think it's going tp "run circles" around other cars, they are going to be very large circles!
  17. About 20 years ago, one of my sons bought a clapped out and slightly rusty 122 for $500. It ran but not well, and once it was up to temperature absolutely would not start. You had to let it sit for a half hour. My brother-in-law put himself through engineering school working in a Volvo garage in the 60s and he attacked the SUs with his Swiss army knife, curing it in about 5 minutes. The son left the darn car with me, so I took it to a local Volvo "recycler". They guy said he didn't want it, too much rust. I was so MAD! Turned down by a junk yard! Eventually it got a rattle can paint job and resold for $500. KIDS!
  18. 718 is a New York area code. I like it al lot, but have no idea about the price. Did PA make this model of is it actually a speedster?
  19. I'm not surprised....Steve McQueen's 911 went for over a million! The question I've been asking since I entered the business world: "Where did all these people come from and where did they get all that money?"
  20. Only one picture!
