  1. In 1914, the Dodge brothers started their own automobile factory. The first models were similar to the then famous Ford T, but had some improvements, such as. B. Electric starters (opposite the "T" hand crank) and became popular as mid-range vehicles. The new Dodge was a commercial success. http://oldtimerverzeichnis.com/cars/dodge/1914-50.html http://translate.google.com/
  2. Not what people usually think of when they hear armored car. This 1980 Alfa Romeo Alfetta 2000 Blindata was sold new in Cetraro, Italy, to Francesco “Franco” Muto, a reputed member of the Italian mafia. The car is said to have been modified in period by armored vehicle specialist Marazzi, with additions including 1,300 pounds of armor plating, a dual fire suppression system, bulletproof wheels and tires, and more. Finished in white with a brown velour interior, the car is powered by a 2.0L inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle.

  4. Might be easier to ignore the "Bill of Sale" altogether, and instead just tell the DMV that you have owned the car all along, but have lost your title. That's how it would work in California, you would sign a statement saying you lost your title and they'd get you a replacement. That is with the understanding it would have dropped out of their computer system, which it would have. On the other hand, if I went in and said I bought a car without a title and just have a bill of sale, then the DMV would make me go back to the previous owner and make that person fill out paperwork. So it'd be easier to just claim it was mine all along and I lost the title.
  5. 1st "lot" is two Alfa Romeo rear axles, differentials 2nd "lot" is Alfa Romeo engines/parts. Two blocks, one head, and misc. Just posted it, because there are several engines of various makes people may be interested in, so you might want to look through the parts as well as the cars.

  7. The Bugatti is just a Pur Sang replica
  8. The catalog has 15 pages of stuff including items like tools, memorabilia, engines, parts. Boat outboard motors, several "Formula Vee" projects. '28 Elcar '46 Hudson
  9. One of the more unusual lots. I vaguely remember this back when they came out.
  10. The size is 60 by 80. I think that was intended for a mattress. Queen is 60 by 80. Queen 60″ X 80″
  11. "I'm not in California but is a good idea." it was Padgett that initially mentioned California, and I wasn't sure why. Was it because the OP had, at some point, mentioned he was in Calif? I didn't think so but wasn't sure. I'm still not sure why it was brought up.
  12. Yes that's true, some parts are certified compliant and some are not. And whether you will be getting a smog check is not relevant. Once when I replaced a carburetor I got a certificate with it saying it was California certified. I kept the certificate in the car with the owner's manual.
  13. '75 and earlier are exempt from smog checks in California by the way.
  14. I have only drills with this, no screw bits. Are they missing or what? We've had this for about 60 years. Craftsman.
  15. If it were mine I'd be considering an aftermarket distributor. How about this one? https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-850050? Electronic, magnetic trigger, mechanical advance ( centrifugal )
  16. Beautiful spring day today. 80 degrees and too hot to work. Nice day for a nap on the chaise lounge though. On his back, like he's dead
  17. You came to the right place! I've never seen a Crosley in my life, but you just got a reply from someone who owns eight of them.
  18. No it looks fine. You should check the tube anyway. Is it cracked, or leaking, or loose? I had a similar type problem on a different car and it turned out to be one of the small vacuum tubes. When they get old they can crack, or come loose, due to the rubber getting old, hard.
  19. maybe the vacuum advance on the distributor is another possibility? can see the small tube in this picture.
  20. I bought one of these at Target for only $18. I use the #2 comb for the sides. Go all the way up the side, plus start some of the top with the #2. Then finish off the top wwith the #8 comb. Then of course you clean up around the edges, no comb, just be careful not to draw blood. #2 = 1/4 inch, #8 = 1 inch I bought this after the barber retired, he was charging $10 and I used to get a "flat top" or like a crew cut, but only longer on top. The new fellow that took over the shop was $25 minimum plus tip for any haircut. Barbershops getting scarce around here.
  21. Finally got some TP yesterday. First time I've found it since the first week of March. Grocery stores still don't have it, nor do the drug stores like CVS, but I did find it at one of the Dollar Tree stores.
