  1. Hmmm. Being that big '67 electrical harness came standard which could handle any option (cruise, cornering lights, A/C and rear speaker) - could 2 plastic dash vent versions impact A/C performance? The secrets of GM in-house.... Those "ready to upgrade" days are gone. I tried to install a GM speaker upgrade option on my current Malibu. The harness wasn't there. Passed
  2. You probably have this '67 chart. At least it shows the color names with interior / exterior combos. No dash segregation I'd bet the production line varied on the '67 dash. I've seen '67 dashes with '66 "louvered" flat face vent balls. Proof of midline changes and possibly color or no color (black standard) on dashes?
  3. Dang, I thought about doing that. I was afraid to destroy a pin! I didn't see a way to release the pin as in the other GM connectors. I shoulda asked.
  4. Well, I wanted to get this this thing installed in one piece. Despite partially tearing down the steering column I couldn't get the housing off. Service manual states to use this "special tool". There was no way I was getting this huge connector thru the housing without further tear down. So I cut the switch harness. Soldered and shrink wrapped. All works perfect. Hung up the super hero cape.

I imagine those original plates are in someone's Detroit basement. Dig it up then maybe we can send it to the U.S. Mint and start pressing $430.40 bills
  6. All, Does ANYONE produce properly embossed valve cover decals? Seems everyone DOES sell these hack job 2D fakes off their basement printers:

  8. All drums. If you look at the pics you may see their bright silver selves thru the cooling slots. Too bad it would cost a fortune to ship these beasts. And I don't have room for them. Wait til ya see my SD's dressed in red:
  9. From an estate sale. Here are pics per someones request. Slight pitting near a valve stem and a balance weight. Slight fade on an "R". Should clean up no prob. I'm putting a set of NEVER used NOS Super Deluxe caps on this new lady. Classssssssssssss
  10. Buick 5X5 Rally Wheels, Tires, Caps Low miles, local pick up (Florida) $1200.
  11. Got it! Old Cars Parts NW Cornering light wires simply aren't used on mine.
  12. JZ you are THE go to for info! Thank you. I hope Mr. Bloomberg can come up with a fix. Well, the arms aint broke yet. They are just so whimpy - don't latch on the cam which is still there. Strange
  13. Man, that's better than most dog houses. Nice work!
  14. I'm pretty sure ALL '67 Rivieras came with tilt wheel. Like - tilt was simply standard. Right?
  15. So, my '67 turn signal arm does not lock click downward, upward. It does spring return to center. So I assumed the plastic cam was wore out without opening it up. I trusted OPGI to tell me / sell me the right cam and springs. This is what they sent and it don't appear like ANYTHING in my column. I do not have cornering lights. Do have tilt. What do I do now? Any one know the correct part?
  16. Sold quick! Now to focus on my other '67....
  17. Oh my! Didn't mean to rile anyone up. Its all great info. Thank you gentlemen for the years of experience. To this end, it does us all well. I'm going to have a gears and chain on standby. Now...who makes the best? Much appreciated -
  18. Warm weather brings work on our classics! Question: Any concerns on first year 430 timing chains I should be aware of? Like nylon issues? Thanks all!
  19. Would love to get '66-'67 die-cast. I cant find one. Anybody wanna sell me one?
  20. Not as much as those 8 tracks But didn't you guys have to notch out / cut for the gas pedal??? All the ones I see on the 'net do NOT have the notch cut for gas pedal. I hate to hack a $200 (plus shipping) set of mats just to make them fit
  21. Hey gang I'd like to put loop carpet mats in my second gen'. Everything I see on the 'net looks wonky - like they wont fit. Even OPGI. Any good sources? Thank you.
  22. That is a rare gem. If only I had a GS
  23. Ah ok. I'm ordering a motor now. I got power to the motor but its frozen solid. Thanks.
  24. Greetings, On my '67, I disconnected my left power window regulator to trouble shoot / replace the motor. I can not for the life of me get this dang thing realigned to the bolt holes! I can not find anything on the 'net. Please help. Thank you much
  25. I'm with RivNut. The Riviera is a luxury and I will say classy automobile. And not to be driven down dirt ditch paths. White walls are an elevation above...dirt. Get a truck or Jeep if you care to play in the puddle. I don't think using white walls w/ stock rim sizes take away from body lines. Its only todays rides with ridiculously huge rims that take away from new car body lines. (Which are all door knobs anyway) I love the white tires on the white car. It looks like it descended from the clouds. Lift off!
