  1. That's a cluster Space Patrol would be proud of!
  2. I found a product at Lowes that appeared/flowed exactly the same. I just cant remember which manufacturer it was. But it was a roof sealant in a tube. Never gets fully rigid. And not sticky/gooey like silicone based products. Left a dull finish. Could not tell the difference from the original. They are pretty cheap and you may have to test a few - but its at Lowes. It was a black roof sealant similar to this one:
  3. I agree. Its a shame so much was lost (Just my opinion) on the '68 dash. No gauges. Vertical face. Pretty plain layout. The '66/'67 is (late) mid-century modern at its best. I love the bold '68 bumper though - and longer nose! And that '68 green is color good for me. If I only had $20g to throw out. (I hope this sells for 20g)
  4. Yeah I saw that! I'm chompin' at the bit. Maybe the buyer viewed the bubbled top. I just cant get over no A.C. It would be a nightmare to upgrade. I'm guessing a new wiring harness would be needed also. Ugh
  5. Ah, I knew you guys would come thru! And I forgot all about priming the MC. - I think I forgot more than I learned Thanks again. Couldn't do it right without the people of ROA!
  6. Greetings all Booster Dewey re-coated my Booster and Hood Latch, FANTASTIC On a '67 I'm guessing the brake bleed sequence would be Right/Rear, Left/Rear, Right/Front, Left/Front? Its been 30 years since my last. I'm crusty rusty. Thanks for the help!
  7. Yes, check it out. Like a 2 inch bubble top right rear glass. I'd have to rib up that vinyl and investigate. Good thing this car is thousands of miles away. Or I'd be all over it!
  8. You've got to see this '68 for sale. GORGEOUS Only negatives I see is bubbled up vinyl top and a slightly pushed in rear bumper. If this car only had the darn air conditioning - I'd bid on it! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Buick-Riviera-Base-Hardtop-2-Door-/262659869835?vxp=mtr
  9. Wow, that's THE E-Type go-to book! Should have hit the press by now. That's going on my shelf for X-mas. Hope you got some credit in the book. Has ROA considered publishing a comprehensive Riviera book? We sure have enough data. Barns and Noble will sell anything. Thanks!
  10. Goodness! Appears it was under the Baltic Sea for 40 years. Passion would exceed most finances in that endeavor. What became of it?
  11. Not a Riviera story, but a gem indeed: http://www.bbc.com/autos/gallery/20160919-in-pictures-the-cat-in-the-barn "A dilapidated garage in Cheshire recently yielded just such a find: a 1964 Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Coupé, untouched for decades" I miss my XK8
  12. Now - to find pure Tung (China) oil. Hmmmm
  13. I suspect any Trek fan owner of a '64 Riv. would change their plate ID to PDL-257. Rest Mr. Nimoy. You are missed.
  14. Indeed. I loved this '06 Mustang/Avanti combo by the late Avanti Motors: http://www.avantimotors.com/index.html
  15. Red - Lines! We could put a custom interior in it! Arrrrgh. Maybe in the afterlife. I'll just have to be happy with my non - GS Black Widow
  16. Classy color combo. I love the gray / black. - Just wish all "GS" cars came with custom option interiors as a mated package. I guess he had the original air cleaner bronzed? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Buick-Riviera-/252515828739?forcerrptr=true&hash=item3acb1dc403:g:ug4AAOSwaB5Xwj0G&item=252515828739
  17. Does Steele produce window top strips to span both side windows? It seems all the ones out there only span the front sides and stop at the rear lead. [Not talking lower about the felts]

Heres one for third gen. owners: The movie "Red Rock West" is pretty good. Black boat tail flies. Dennis Hopper is the owner in the flick - even though he's not driving in this scene. Great character. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJIjyuZ6EQ4
  19. Hilarious clip! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUlf_MpOqTA
  20. Those brakes are so surreal, they pop like they're from Marvel Comics! Nice job
  21. Aside the offer which is most generous, hilarious Great post - thanks guys Send more humor
  22. This 1969 pamphlet touts use of reverse camber:
  23. Here ya go bud. Sorry, no smart phone here. I took one with flash and without. Pretty nice. Very minimal pitting. You'll need to put your existing '67 stripe bars on. Easy transfer. Two nuts on back. - I just got a $1900. estimate to have my grill re-chromed - without lamp louver (covers) No way! Mine aren't too bad to justify that cost - today. I got NOS lamp covers on now.
  24. I have an extra 2nd Gen. Lic. Plate lamp housing if anyone needs one. Never used.
