  1. I think it's a good buy at $30-$35k. As I spent much of my 20's behind the wheel in one of these I still want one. This one is in better condition than most of them around here in Ontario. Mostly due to rust. Followed closely by much abuse from young dude's beating the crap outta them before the 80's ended. After I thin out all my" never " drivers by 3 I could justify buying this. These have good seats, excellent handling and brakes. With proper serviced A/C I would take this for long drives even in the mid summer 90 degree, 90% humidity days!

  4. Some great comments on here! In regards to my daily driver It's 9 yrs old, 96,000 miles. Still running and looking decent but had some maintenance done last month and it was in the shop for 2 days. No big deal but it made me add up how much $$ I have sitting in cars that seldom or never get driven. Then realizing I can't afford to replace it until I sell of a few of the oldies. That got to me for the 1st time. My monthly bills for the last 2 years spent on car parts and welder/painter shop charges is out of control for my budget/ income. Having worked in the car business part time I understand how easy these projects spiral out of control. More times than I care to remember guys would come in needing a family daily driver as there current ride was a rusty clapped out clunker and all they could yap about was the "classic car" home in their shop all in pieces. It was usually never going to see the road and if it did the wife and kids didn't fit or didn't like it. But most of the time they couldn't get enough cash together to buy a safe reliable Daily Driver because they blew all the $$$ on chrome, cams, and stereos. Sheesh, it hurts to realize that is me now!
  5. My biggest problem is trying to NOT buy anymore cars.
  6. One thing I learned from an old master years ago was turn off any noise and vibration, close your eyes and let your fingers tell you the truth.
  7. Thank you, and you are right! It's thirsty when it running, but sometimes I"m happy to just hang at the marina and not think about cars!!
  8. I currently have 4 cars that are over 50 years old, two that are 40 years old. Yes that's too many for me as I have to pay for off site storage, etc. All but one are in roadworthy condition, and it is just about drivable. Can't wait to get rid of at least 4! Takes up too much time, money and rapidly shrinking ambition. This last 2 years have changed my mind about having old cars. Working to support my habit isn't how I envisioned my retirement. By next summer I hope to actually have time to use my boat on Lake Erie more than the 4 times this year!
  9. Much prettier car. I think this is a good price, but I really know very little about the market for these.

  11. Here's a 1941 Coupe for sale across the bridge from Detroit. Price $20,000 Canadian
  12. Chances are it will be sold once apart. So many people can turn a ratchet left, then drink a few beers, yap about their prowness only to sell the "Resto" project in a year or 2 instead of clicking it to "right" and putting the parts back on before trying to sell.
  13. It was +5 C in S-W Ontario today. Cloudy and drizzle. But a few sunny breaks. Got the LeBaron T&C faux woody out and the 1972 442 convertible. So happy to just go for a drive in them!
  14. My 1959 Cadillac Sedan DeVille had 4 "cigar lighters" . 2 up front, 2 for the kids in the back seat! No mention of cigarettes, just cigars. After all it's a Cadillac.
  15. Ok, I understand West. Not a 42 convertible, but a 48. I should have been more specific.
