  1. No longer having my own shop, losing my ability to crawl under a car and work, and not enough money to farm out a restoration keeps me searching for a middle of the road driver class car. Yep, they are really hard to find. Basket case or over priced resto is the majority of for sale cars.
  2. This car here is by far the cheaper option. Also you can drive it instead of staring at it for the next 25 years crying about how much you've already spent and it's still not done!

  4. Somebody got a real cool car. Rarely seen in unrestored condition. I think it would be a great driver left as is exterior wise and clean up/ repair and seal the rust. Some decent seat covers for now and it's a one of one at the cruise meets.
  5. Easy enough to find out what engine was installed at the Oshawa factory by buying the GM Vintage Vehicle Documents. All 1964 Pontiac Parisiennes were Oshawa Ontario Canada built cars and yes the 409 was available. Rarely equipped as new but on the option list. Not built on the Wide Track USA built chassis but the Chevrolet X frame. Handling wasn't a high point, nor was braking. But a 409 was a good straight line hauler and look great under the hood.
  6. A sliding long roof Studebaker with a supercharger and stick shift. You will be the only one at the show. Including most Stude only meets!
  7. An amazing find for sure. Especially for Nova Scotia. The harsh salt air dissolved so many cars before they were 10 years old.
  8. Not a 440 car, but likely not a scam. In 1967 the "B" body Plymouth Belvedere/Satellite sub model GTX was equipped with a 440 or optionally 426 Hemi. In 66 you could order a 426 Hemi in a B body Satellite. OK, this car is on the money if you want a decent muscle driver @ $27000 Canadian=$19600 US. On the USA border also.
  9. Not a factory 440 car. This style of Barracuda "A Body" only came as a "M" code 440 in 1969. A drag race Plymouth design.
  10. As the price tide rises to levels that outstrip finances for "hobby cars" a nicely kept 4 door 6 cylinder sedan from 1955 to mid 70's is very easy to justify and enjoy as much as a big bucks convertible/ hardtop V8 model for a good percentage of people. I'm at the age where I'm never, ever buying a project again(yeah right) due to costs and inability to crawl under cars and get back up in one piece. So a nice 4 door in good turnkey "mostly original" condition has huge appeal to me. Especially if it has A/C and brakes that work!
  11. Yes West they did. He was bringing out the buckets of whitewash but I got it started and took off before I had to join Huck and Jim!
  12. This was about 5 hours after pulling out of a barn on an island in the St Lawrence. 2nd pic is from the ferry boat ride back to mainland Ontario.
  13. This is in front of the barn it was stored in after a wash job.
  14. Parked since 1975. In basement of a farm house. This was after we aired up tires and put it on casters.
  15. Same as me. I've owned 2 Cyclones, one a 69 428 CJ , the other a really beat rusty 67 parts car. 1970 Torino Cobra 429 SCJ and a lot of other Ford's but I've always liked these 427 Bicsuits. RCMP used them (mostly 4 door). There was a 1969 BelAir on my street in the early 70's that was a 427 4 speed 2 dr. post. I had a 307 Impala 1968 and it was a dog. So load that Cyclone up and bring it to Ontario, drop off in London and drag that Biscuit back home. LOL!!!

  17. I agree. They were a cool car back in the day. When sleepers were in fashion. But now not so much. The cost of building one will far outstrip the value. Not a great handling or braking car even when new.
  18. Really just 3 scrap cars, but with the GM Vintage Vehicle documents proving provenance it may be worth it to someone who wants to build a true "Sleeper" Not mine nor am I interested. Just posting for entertainment value! https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/413158234678400/?ref=category_feed&referral_code=undefined&referral_story_type=listing&tracking={"qid"%3A"-2186466210918290012"%2C"mf_story_key"%3A"25071373239177950"%2C"commerce_rank_obj"%3A"{\"target_id\"%3A25071373239177950%2C\"target_type\"%3A0%2C\"primary_position\"%3A47%2C\"ranking_signature\"%3A1219308683226049095%2C\"commerce_channel\"%3A504%2C\"value\"%3A0.00011311062246106%2C\"candidate_retrieval_source_map\"%3A{\"25071373239177950\"%3A111}}"%2C"ftmd_400706"%3A"111112l"}&__tn__=!%3AD
