  1. Hi Scott, Old post, I know, but I just sent you a PM to see if you still had parts available. Much thanks, Anderson
  2. Ahhh, the "widow-maker"...please, no one try to use it without 911 on standby. For what it's worth, mine had traces of what appeared to be original black paint. However, most I've seen are the green color that Alan's photo shows.
  3. Old post, I know, but if you are still in need I recommend contacting Hill Jenkins. He took over his dad's antique car upholstery and top business, Jenkins Interiors, located in North Wilksboro North Carolina. He may have what you need. Good luck! http://www.jenkins-interiors.com Phone: 336-902-0717 or 336-667-4282 Email: music_man_jetliner@yahoo.com
  4. Hi David, I believe the 1940 parking light housing among GM makes are all different styles, but I think the sizes may be similar enough to interchange if you wanted (perhaps others more knowledgeable could shed some light?) I have one listed as "1940 Buick Park Lamp Base & Housing, Left" (stamped 24756) to sell, if you are still in need. It is an older re-chrome that has some surface imperfections. Not sure of the quality level you're seeking, but if you're interested just send me a PM. I'll need to look, but I may also have a set of the correct glass lenses to match. Here are photos of the housing. Thanks, Anderson
  5. Thanks John, I appreciate it. I'm sending Pete the other two caps, as he has located a 3rd. Your info helps me identify the deeper cap for the future. If any 1939 90 series / 1940 80-90 series owners are in need, feel free to send me a PM.
  6. Hi Pete, I have 3 labeled as part #1309116, with one in an original wrapper (#1). All 3 appear to have the larger lip size you describe, but one looks to have a slightly deeper dish (#1, appox 1/8" deeper by my crude measuring than #2 & #3.) Writing on the back indicates they fit: "1939 exc 90, 1940 exc 80 & 90". None of them are perfect, but they look like they could be about the same or better than the one you pictured. I've tried to point out imperfections including a couple of small dinks and some light hazy specs (mirrored surfaces are so hard to photograph...sorry!) If you're interested send me a PM. Thanks, Anderson
  7. I have a set of 1941 1942 Buick Super-Sonomatic Radio Knobs listed on eBay. The right SELECTOR-BAND knob is the rare one as it is specific to the Super-Sonomatic radio. Starting bid for the set is $100 with free shipping. https://www.ebay.com/itm/202843368883?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  8. I have a set of NOS 1941 Buick passenger assist straps listed on eBay. BEAUTIFUL. May fit other GM brands or years. Staring bid is $130 with free shipping. https://www.ebay.com/itm/202842819070?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  9. I have a 1941 Buick Wood Grained Dash listed on eBay. Very nice used condition. A couple of small blemish spots that would be visible once the radio grill and dash panels are installed (see listing.) Not sure if this fits all 1941 Buick models or not. The space between the lower tabs measures 50 1/2". Starting bid is $300 plus shipping. https://www.ebay.com/itm/202842818597?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 I have another 1941 Buick Dash listed on eBay, that looks to be NOS as it has no wear marks, but is painted (Lancaster Grey?) and measures 51 1/2" between lower tabs. I don't know if these are truly different sizes, or perhaps the tabs are slightly bent.
  10. I have a 1941 & 1942 Buick Y-pipe exhaust for the small series 248 engines (40-Special, 50-Super) with compound carburetion currently listed on eBay. Looks to be NOS, or maybe a good reproduction. Some light surface rust, but a very solid piece with correct flanges. The starting bid is $200, free shipping to lower 48 states. https://www.ebay.com/itm/202843651934?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  11. I have a 1941 & 1942 Buick Super-Sonomatic 5-Band Radio just listed on eBay. I have been able to get 2 bands to pick up stations (AM and 31M) but only static on the other 3 bands. The listing includes a video showing operation of the radio. Starting bid is $900 + shipping. I also have the correct Super-Sonomatic inner radio knobs listed separately, along with other 1940-42 Buick items. Here is a link to the auction and video: https://www.ebay.com/itm/202842812992?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  12. I'm looking for a restorable Stromberg AAV-16 with the model number 7-39 stamped on the top corner of the fuel tank. Please private message me if you have one to sell.
  13. Great, glad you got them where you want them, rock on!
  14. Hi Valk- Sorry I'm late to the party, but I'm just now seeing your topic. I hope this added information may still be of help. With no offense to others (to each his own!), my goal was to install the auxiliary lights as Buick designers intended. I used the Guide Lamp Division instructions included in the box for this original bracket. This literature has satisfied inquiring judges on a couple of occasions. It is an unusual placement, for sure. I hope you got them installed to your liking. That's what it's ultimately about : ) Anderson
  15. Grandpa, I know this is an older post, but I am trying to connect my washers this weekend. Could you tell me which port goes to the washer jar (side or back?) Any help appreciated, thanks! Anderson
  16. I'd love to see that all original, no mods, flathead 8! In case the ad disappears, it says: $2,500, contact Gerard (804) 393-8179
  17. Hi Paul, the Buick is looking fantastic, that color is just gorgeous! How has your progress been over the last few months? Anderson
  18. Wow, 20's indeed, very cool. I had no idea the McLaughlins had this difference too. I remembered the window crank/escutcheon differences you shared with me a while back. These Buicks always seem to have something new to teach, thanks!
  19. Thanks Keith, do you have a photo of the Canadian dash you could share? Interesting! A
  20. Ha, of course it was Doug, I was just being cheeky ; ) According to Lewis Jenkins, and supported by the 1941 Buick Engineering Information book (attached), the dash panels were tinted one of two colors. This was to match either the tan or grey upholstery.
  21. Yes Pete, the dash panels were the same for all 1941 series. This is a refinished set I bought from a guy in a cowboy hat from Ohio to use on my car, but then found a perfect NOS set that I used instead.
  22. I have a 1941 dash set with new engine-turning listed on eBay with an opening bid of $475 + $40 shipping to the lower 48. More photos listed on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/202340324198?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 I have other items for 1941 Buick currently listed as well. You're welcome to PM me with questions. Anderson
  23. MajesticDean, find a pair of 21" ornaments if you don't care (they pop up on eBay every so often, and should be cheaper for sure.) I have a pair of 24" ornaments if you're still in need. They will need to be re-chromed for show. Send me a PM if interested, Anderson Barney, I agree with Matt. Those ornaments are killer! Zavoom!
