  1. Jim, Always be careful of a bright, shiny, new paint job......heck, we even removed the chrome to paint it is a flag in itself. Matt
  2. Thanks again Robert! I love seeing car shows, even when I cannot be in attendance personally! I also like the "prop" under the truck! Now that's thinking! Matt:)

  7. Thanks again everyone for the prayers and thoughts. Dr. says I'm doing great, but again changed his mind and wants me to stay until Monday mid-day. I told him I just want to be good when I get out. Gonna have to follow a diet when I get out and take fiber pills of a night, but hey, if it keeps me outta here...............whatever it takes. Tonight, no pain at all. Tomoorow OATMEAL.

  11. Still here and from what the doctor told me, I will be until Monday:eek:. I still cannot eat or drink anything until Sunday. Then they will give me clear fluids. If I do well on those, Monday I get broths and the sort. If I can handle those, I go home late Monday, or Tuesday. Matt
  12. Here's a picture of his skirts. This was sent to me by him. Matt
  13. Jim, Simply Buickful my man! Nice work. I love following your thread. Matt
  14. Thanks guys. I finally got some sleep. Even though they woke me up every two hours. Heck, I'm feeling much better. Robert, you were correct. I wrote it wrong in the first post. This is the thing, that if you don't take care of it and quick, you end up with the "poop bag" hanging off the side of you! I'll do my time in the hospital, thanks. Thanks for all the nice comments. I really appreciate you guys! Matt:)
  15. When I talked with him the other day, he told me he is retired and he is "protecting" all of these cars. For the restorer, so theres a place to get parts. Really nice gentleman and cannot wait to get over to meet with him. Matt
  16. they've offered me some pain medicine. Hooked up to tubes and antibiotics. Say it takes 2 days or so. Miss my wife and kids.....but I've got you guys....
  17. I guess I've got diverticulous. Lots of pain. Finally got so intense, I went to the doctor today and he admitted me. Be here for at least two days:( Matt
  18. I will be going in the next week or so to visit with David. Had a nice conversation with him this afternoon. Can't wait to see the wonderful collection. Matt
  19. Ronald, Being a convertible owner, the frames are "alike" but NOT the same. The center of the frame at the X is beefed up on a convertible and usually the front frame near the cowl section is beefier metal because of the flex that a convertible car exerts on the frame. There is no rigid framework of door pillars and roof section to help support the car. You could do it, but would need to look at a convertible car to beef things up at the right spots. Or, you could just do what you want. Just trying to help ya out. Matt
  20. Wish we were closer, I'd come over and have a looksie! Have you checked all of your grounds? Matt
  21. Bob, What are you needing? I have the parts for my car, out of the car, would just have to dig them out to take a picture. Matt:D
  22. Keiser31, hopefully because of the car and not what the doctor did to you! Been working a little on interior. Rebuilt a seat frame and changed it from a standard seat to one with hydraulics and seat switch and courtesy lights. Working on cutting interior panels, busy, busy....Matt:)
  23. Robert, I second on you calling Bob's to address the issue with the water pump. Great service and they will make it right. Matt
  24. Well, thanks to my friend 48Super, I am off and running in a different direction for a couple of days. Looking for a HD sewing machine on one hand and on the other I'm cutting templates out for my interior panels. I worked on the rear seating area tonight and got the two sides cut for the panels where the ashtrays and window regulators are. I'll start on the door panels tomorrow. Just the waterproof cardboard templates, no upholstery yet. Sure is nice to have something solid to work with when it comes to these panels. Matt:)
