  1. Your steel line should have a threaded fitting on the end of it. It will thread into the sender/pickup unit in the tank. That is, unless someone else has had it off and modified it and then I would expect hose. You will also find the electrical connector and ground connection.
  2. Looking much better Matt! Gonna have a nice driver for the spring/summer.
  3. did you unbolt the flywheel from the torque converter? Is the motor/tranny tilting back far enough to get the transmission off before hitting the firewall?
  4. I second The recommendation Keith gave. This is where I purchased seals and the tranny fir my 56 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I was going to ask the same questions. Torque tube seals aren't bad. There are people that rebuild Dynaflows out there. You would have to remove the transmission and re-install of course, which is not horrible, if you have the room to do it and a good transmission jack. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Tell me about it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. There's a lot of good people in that area. Seguin, Austin, etc. I would imagine that just visitin' with the good old folks from the forum would be fun in itself!
  8. Be aware that with most reputable shops, you will not be able to pick and chose what happens, once into the engine components. They will want to do everything correctly and completely. That is how they came about getting their reputation. And, they will not want to warranty any work if not doing everything. Good luck in your search. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Nancy I read your post wrong and was not trying to cause friction. I retract above statement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Nancy, Many of us have more than one post per day and in various sections of this website. Many of us, are also quite obnoxious at times. There are sections for "historic clothing", and a lot of us talk about meets that we are having, etc. Then when the event is finished, pictures are posted for all to enjoy. I really cannot see how posting any of this AACA event information on Facebook, where I will not see it would benefit any more than posting it here for "AACA Paid members" to enjoy. This is an AACA website and I spend at least an hour, if not more browsing the different sections of the forum on a nightly basis. Just confusing how you present the facts.................Matt
  11. I would love to show you my 48' Roadmaster Convertible, but I live in Pa. Hehe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. This is gonna sound real dumb, but you are shifting all the way down for reverse? Not just one notch from Park? If the car is up on jackstands and it is in neutral, it will spin the wheels. Reverse is all the way down, like where low gear is on newer transmissions. If this isn't the case, follow directions in post #2. Matt
  13. OMG did she drop something in the car? I'll help get it!
  14. Great video guys! Cannot wait to see more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Bernie Glad you finally took the step. You are correct in your statements. Welcome to the club! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. You guys make us guys jealous! Beautiful work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I was considering sending my wiper motor out for rebuild, but my good buddy John De Fiore convinced me to do it myself. Since I don't have too much going on except wet sanding/buffing on my 47', I cleaned it up and greased the paddle. It seems to move with a little more dedication. Guess I'll see when I put it back on the car. I didn't paint it because it will look out of place in the engine compartment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Nice to see yet another 56' being taken care of. Looks like a wonderful ride! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Back at it again the last two nights! Feels good to have my hands all over her again! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Yeah, what he said! My 56 had the same problem. The parking pawl can get out of adjustment or just plain break off. Not a hard adjustment if you follow the manual. Matt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Had the opportunity to go visit the car this morning. Started her up and let her run for 30 minutes. Also had a tire a little low. Was nice to sit in the car for awhile.... Winter is half over! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. This guy has watched too many Barrett Jackson auctions. My 56' doesn't not look two bad in these here momentos! Er, u no what i meen!?
