Ok. Here's the deal. I have been contemplating for well over a year having NEW vent window frames made for one of my Buick convertibles. These things are like hens teeth and I know that many have a need for these. I am trying to test the waters to see how many Buick, Oldsmobile and Cadillac owners might have a need for these. I'm not sure if Pontiac might have also used the same vent window frame or not. Depending on initial response of need, this will have an effect on price. I met with the engineers today and I have a rough tooling amount and price per casting amount. I will also have to have some machining done to the parts to have a finished part. These will not be chromed and this would be at the cost of the purchaser with whomever you might chose. Please feel free to comment and or PM me with any additional questions. Thanks Matt;)

Everything is done! I still have to bleed the brakes again and adjust them. Transmission has oil in it. Ran out of light and didn't have any help to bleed the brakes. I replaced one of the shock mounts on the rear. Someone replaced it with a bolt at one time or another, so it deserved the correct mount. Hopefully I can finish up everthing else before the weekend. Pretty and shiny. Glad you are able to take a little time to work on one of your rides my friend.

Got my new set of shock absorbers today! Maybe tomorrow I'll have a chance to work on bolting the torque tube and getting the rear back in it's proper spot. Note to all: When attaching the torque tube back to the transmission, leave the bolts loose until the rear wheels are back on the ground so the tube finds it's true center. Will try to see if I can find some line material to re-make the lines that I broke yesterday trying to get them off of the transmission. Don't know if I'll get as far as shocks, but as long as I keep knocking things off of the list, I should get done this weekend and be able to drive a little bit.

Car #1 was the original 47' 56C convertible that started it all Car #2 is a 47' 76C car that started as this.............. And is now................. Car #3 is the 48' 76C I just bought a month ago............. And Car #4 is a car that was just found for me and will serve as parts for the 48' 76C to be complete. Probably is no less confusing! But, nonetheless, I have 4 convertibles. Matt

I found this wedged in the a fitting in the cooling line to the radiator from the transmission. It was wedged in a coupling. Guess there wasn't much cooling going on in there! The transmission had been out of the car before. This must have been put in the line to keep a drip from dripping on the floor and wasn't taken out when they put the tranny back in.

Old tranny out........rebuilt tranny in! Found something interesting and will post a picture when I get inside and cleaned up. Now just have to make two new cooling lines because they wouldn't turn and broke them off. Still have to bolt up the torque tube, etc. but the hard part is done. 3 hours. The tranny jack I bought was amazing.
