  1. I finished the sound deadener on the floors and tidied up the hydraulic lines on the floor. Bolted down the heater core box and laid out the carpet. Now I have someplace softer to lay when finishing my wiring.
  2. Steele is where I bought all of my rubber seals. I too agree, bad design installing windshields from inside, but I guess I was lucky. My stainless trim slipped right in on the outside and when put windshield in, just had to hold the bottom section of stainless down while I tightened the chrome molding on the inside. Took about 2 hrs by myself.
  3. Have been working very little on the car as music concerts and Cub Scouts with my kids have been eating up a lot of time. But, I wouldn't miss any of those things. Most of the sound deadener is installed on the floors and still need to finish two hudraulic lines and then I will be done with that part. I finally had a decent enough day and put the windshield in. Proud to say that I think i did well.
  4. Fatherfocus The car is worth whatever you feel is a good price. You can read about my thread and it should give good insight. Ask all of the questions you can think of. Matt
  5. Really using your noggin there! Progress looks nice.
  6. No. Seats are similar from two door, but will require modification for hydeaulics and electric switches and courtesy lights. Good luck on finding anything rear seat for convertibles. I built my own springs modifying from another car.
  7. West I would say that a "real restomod" is almost totally unrecognizable to what the car should be. Quite laughable really.....
  8. Nahuel How is your project coming along? You haven't posted anything in awhile. Hope all is well Matt
  9. Have two more lines to finish to drivers side cylinder. Have the sound proof installed on over half of the floor.
  10. Not necessarily a barn find, but I purchased in El Paso, Tx and had it brought to PA four years ago. Almost there.....
  11. Bought all but the tees for running the rest of the lines to the cylinders. Maybe Thursday night....
  12. John Windshield still not in. Waiting for bedding and glazing compound. Dale Thanks for the kind words
  13. Crappy picture, but finished modifying the passenger door stainless moulding. Mine was gone and I was able to aquire this one from a two door. The doors are a bit longer on a two door, so I cut and re-bent. This piece was pretty bashed up in a couple spots. I happy with it. Also worked on double flaring some lines for the convertible top cylinders. Tomorrow I hope to installthe cylinders and finish up the line fabrication.
  14. Then again, since your car doesn't have an engine, may just be flex because it is a convertible. Be careful anyways....
  15. Be careful. I think I see what is happening! You are pivoting on the front jack stands. The weight of the engine and tranny more than throw off your balance on a convertible. Do yourself a favor and rest it back on suspension, not frame. I don't wanna read your obit tomorrow.
  16. Another picture with tub trim installed. Still have to do passenger side.
  17. I am still looking for a replacement for it and the header. I will let you know what I come up with
  18. Great work. Always like to watch your threads.
  19. Attached the surround moulding base to te car. Installed the first piece of stainless around the tub, with the first piece on te door. Spent 1.5 hrs and well over $100.00 on new fasteners for mounting parts, trim and almost all of the new bolts/washers for the convertinle top. Polished stainless.....
  20. Jim Where do you live? That will help direct you in the right direction
  21. Been tired for an hour. Long day at work! Made myself finish this. Very satisfied! Maybe the moustache bar tomorrow. I know several of the mounting studs are rough and needing replaced. Will see how it goes.
