The time has come to let someone else enjoy this car as is or take it to another level. You can check out my thread about this car in the Me and My Buick section. I putchased this little girl several years ago when I had started the restoration if my 47' convertible. My convertible is roadworthy and almost finished, so it is time to say goodbye. The good. Pretty solid car. Has a Schive paint job from the 70's or so. I touch up the paint from time to time. There are some rust bubbles along the bottom of the doors. Previous owner installed replacement rockers. They are riveted in and I didn't investigate any further. I repaired the floor pans and installed sound proof material and new pad/carpet two summers ago. Transmission was replaced with a rebuilt one from Jim's Dynaflow four years ago because reverse was gone in the tranny. Carb and fuel pump and wiper motor rebuilt last year. New fuel tank and sending unit 4 years ago. The radio was just rebuilt and has an aux jack installed. i just replaced the drivers door glass last fall and repainted the interior trim. I am forgetting things. Check out the thread and ask questions. The bad The trunk lid needs a little bodywork. It kissed my 47' right after painting. The brightwork is typical and period looking. I have upgraded things to better chrome as I was able to find it. Could use some light bodywork and a paint job. I have another speedometer assy for the car. Will go with the car. Feel free to pm me and ask any questions Asking $5,000.00 on craigslist. Forum members can take $500.00 off. Thanks Matt Whitaker

I also sourced my wheel cylinders from NAPA for my 47'. Perfect fit and function.

Scranton Region AACA Cruise In Sunday May 28
jackofalltrades70 replied to jackofalltrades70's topic in AACA - Shows and Tours
Thanks to all that attended the cruise in. It was a beautiful day and the rainy weather held off and was partly sunny most of the day. We had a great turnout of fleamarket vendors and 100 cars were in attendance. Here is a shot of my car. -

Anytime they ask for moneygram or western union because they have no paypal or their account is messed up, steer clear of them. Hold on to your money and keep looking Matt -

1946 Buick Sedanette Positive or Negative Ground
jackofalltrades70 replied to a topic in General Discussion
Another tip. The 6 volt straight eights turn over much slower than a 'newer' v8 on 12v. I suggest doing a quick revision of everything electrical....... coil, point gap and spark at points, rotor, cap. Also make sure the wire that passes through the distributor base is not grounding on the distributor. Matt -

Negative ground system. Sounds like you may need to take apart and clean all connections on the battery cables. Also make sure the engine is grounded to the frame. -
I know what you mean Pete. Then there is this one. Puts the previous to shame? https://www.ebay.com/itm/151159584455 Matt
