  1. Had the car out to a nice car show on Sunday. About 60 mile round trip as I tend to take longer, slower, laid back routes. My son and I had a great time! That, my friends, is what it is all about!
  2. Roberta, There is no local BCA chapter close to me, BUT I am on the board of directors for our region of the AACA. None of the positions are paid positions. Seems as though as our general membership numbers dwindle, it becomes harder to find people to fill positions within the board. Sometimes positions are just "filled" and the club suffers because the Dedication is not there. More times than not, people don't even listen or comprehend what is expected of them when they are accepting a position within the board. Thus the "Trickle Down Effect". Other board members get frustrated, things are said within the general memebership and we lose members. I will get off my soapbox with one last thing. The ones who seem to complain the most, NEVER are part of the solutions. They just quit! Matt
  3. I have a set of vent windows from a 47' sedanette. Drivers side window frame is missing the pivot. See pictures. $150.00 Thanks for looking Matt
  4. I have a set of bumperette cores that I swapped out of my 1956 Special. They will need rechroming/repair. shipping might cost a bit on these $100.00 o.b.o
  5. Extra clock core that I had bought for my 56'. Assume it needs work. Hairline cracks in plastic lense which is normal for its age. $25.00. Thanks Matt
  6. I have a decent set of spark plug wites for a 322 engine. Should fit 54-56' 322. $100.00 thabks Matt
  7. I have for sale, a fairly nice radio antenna, with knob and mast available. This is NOT for a convertible. I am trying to clear out all of my parts that are extras, or not needed. $200.00
  8. Looks like this piece. I found one, which means I don't have two. Need another if anyone has a spare.
  9. Looking for these stainless steel pieces that tack or screw onto a wooden piece at the back of the rear quarter windows. They hold the weatherstrip piece. I had 3 tops and all three are missing these. Here is a picture of where they go. Thanks Matt
  10. I intentionally walk over and look at their cars. They are as proud of theirs as I am of mine! It would suprise you that several of these guys with the newer cars at shows, also have Model A's, older Chevy's, etc. I just try to keep people as INVOLVED in this hobby as I can. Being on the BOD of our local region, we are always trying to get more people involved in the hobby. Even though a paricular car/year/make or model might not be my cup of tea, It still pays to make the effort. Matt
  11. Tonight, Doug Cook A.K.A. Friar Buick, stopped by the house. He dropped off a set of rear end gears from a '54 that I purchased from him. Was a nice time to chat and show him my '47 convertible and my other cars/parts
  12. Just picked my baby, La Trujis, back up from the upholstery shop. Very happy. Just a little more tidying upand I can relax.
  13. Lamar, There are some 50's cars in that group hauling trailers.......
  14. Not sure what year. Is the data plate on the firewall on the passenger side? The floors are definately not original. It is a convertible buick body. Trying to guess as to what the two holes are for in the body where the convertible top should be or the back seat area. Even though you have a title, my state would have to verify the number against the data plate. More info and pictures, if and when you get time Thanks Matt
  15. I am working on getting pictures. I parked cars all morning and then judges two classes all afternoon. I got a few of a neat "camper" that called my attention.
  16. Thanks to all who attended. We had over 200 cars in attendance and was a beautiful sunny day. 80 degrees with a nice breeze. See everyone next year Matt
