If the 401 manifold has carburetor heat you need a heat shield between the carb and the manifold. Does the 401 have carb heat? Would the squeeze tube stuff hold up to the heat?
Being close enough to drop off and pick up is a big factor. For a door handle or a window crank shipping can be expensive. I was having plated both bumpers of the '55 Roadmaster. A day of driving for drop off and pick up each saved a lot $$$ on shipping
The EPA has run many of the platers out of business. I've been satisfied with Graves Plating in Florence Alabama. They took me on a tour of their facility. I was most impressed with the cleanliness. There's a lot more to it than 'dipping' it in the chrome... Ten years later I'm still impressed with their work
