  1. It's not symmetrical so it should sit horizontally. Check for drain holes.
  2. Know that the truck is a late 31 model not a 30 , in spite of the 30 grille. Also the fenders and running boards/aprons should be black
  3. The 53 hardtop has that big piece of chrome
  4. I mostly agree with Jeff but I say 51 or 52. the 48-50 had what look like nostrils where the opener handle was. This is a 52
  5. I believe the bed is correct for a wide bed Model A. Look at the front panel of the bed. You'll see the top has a curve which matches the belt molding. The later Ford bed doesn't have that.
  6. I just saw in the local paper the obit for Francis (Frank) Todd. Frank was an expert mechanic with a great storehouse of knowledge on all antique cars with a particular likeness of Mopar. He took over the business from his father, Al who was also an expert. I don't know if he was known nationally but regionally (Delaware Valley) he was the guy you went to with your problem. He was an AACA member. This kind of a guy is fast disappearing from the landscape and not being replaced. Frank was 61,unmarried no children
  7. When Ford came out with their new styling in late 29 they kept building commercial vehicles with the old (29) styling until May or so. The main way to tell a 30 with 29 styling from a true 29 is by the gas cap. If it is screw threaded it's a 29. If it has the press and turn it is a 30.
  8. Load his Corvette or "Lowered his Corvette"
  9. At first I thought Model A Victoria in the garage by the way the spare leans forward but the roof is too high and I think it is an older car.
  10. The car in the garage in your other post has a spare leaning forward, like a Model A Victoria (I'm not saying that's what it is) while a Model T of this era would have a spare leaning backward
  11. I started out with a 56 Ford Victoria 2dr hdtp for $35, a 58 Edsel 2dr sedan for $60 and a 55 Crown Victoria for $75 all running and usable, for a while
  12. It was inevitable. I heard they will give you a choice of your money back or put it in a 6 month CD for you. CDs are paying maybe 1% so my $240 (for 3 spaces) would earn me $1.20 at maturity. WHOOPEE. Better than a dollar pile. Seriously, let's just hope it comes back to anything near normalcy in 2021
  13. Correction: it wouldn't be an Airstream trailer, no aluminum skin.
  14. I tend to agree with Dictator on this one. 36 Airstream (might be an Airstream trailer too). The bustle looks bigger and the headlight is longer than the Plymouth. Also the skirt.
