  2. There is a chance these vids are Copyright as there is a guy selling them right now....so recommend if you want them to start downloading them.
  3. Achem....posted some days ago Sir: 1954 Buick promos
  4. /stealthbob checking Google maps for distance....
  5. I'm sure there was some sort of pharmacology involved in that dietary preference????
  6. Yea I doubt that its a focus issue but more of a chemical fog issue as it perains to the grainy pic. Looking sweet though...this has to be the most gratifying part, where everything starts looking like new!
  7. Me thinks the US has the Toronto syndrome....or is that the other way Good point....its the economy coupled with the insane metal friendly climate that has made this situation happen. Also notice that the predominant pictures of cars are Taxis...they know where their bread is buttered and its from nostalgic Americans.
  8. Great Pics!!!! Man thanks for sharing those.
  9. I didn't know that Mark....your too modest to brag eh? Congratulations....must have been a great day indeed!
  10. Congratulations Mark! I got blinded by that "other" Buick and didn't see that you yourself won a "Best" yourself.
  11. Very nice... I am an early riser and so is my boy. Even if he is not awake I get him and we go into the garage together to play with some tools...or toys as he calls them. Its our "thing" .....he also LOVES SPAM!
  12. Man what a feel good day! Congratulations Bob! The time, energy and effort to get the Landau to its current state surely has been great. Not many cars out there that is a 1 of 1 that also has on it re-manufactured 1 of 1 hub caps. That, combined with the original thermos/cups and the original hand written owner manual, shows that a lot of care and respect has gone into preserving the history of this car. All that and there it sits outside for all to see....unbelievable! Thank you Sir Buickman Coker!
  13. Beautiful....thanks for the great shots! It really does look like it would have 57 years ago! Did you check the glove box and make sure Lamar didn't make off with the Owners Manual...
  14. Good point about the comment.... But there she was. Sitting on display at Bob's vendor space gathering dust and surrounded by folks all google eyed. (as in NOT in some private, rich ass collectors museum somewhere never being seen by anyone.) Thank you Bob for sharing this treasure! Nice pics Lamar, especially the one of you Bob and the landau...that's a framer! She sure looks to be in her prime again. .....and yes, make with the story!
  15. Great Pics!!! Thanks for sharing....
  16. You put a 12v lead to one "Hole" and the other lead goes to ground. If it goes the wrong way use the other "Hole". Make sure you never use the power when the actuator is out of the car. For two reasons it will damage it but more importantly it can scissor your fingers off!
  17. Geeze...how did I miss this thread! Great pics Fins.... always like to see that beautiful SL you did. Great project and and even greater car! Bugle material for sure!
  18. Let me start off a new thread that will surely soon have some great pics and stories. Right now The 1954 Buick Landau is at the Charlotte Auto Fair in all its glory but a week ago I got a sneak peak at some of the images of the new interior and I tell ya it sure looks great. You don't have to take my word for it..I tweaked a video I had made previously to add in the before and after images. Surely there will be more pictures to come but for now here is the new slideshow....I recommend using the high def setting in full screen view Enjoy! <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/EZ8GsJ9DBIQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  19. Its funny you remember that because it was my dad that helped rebuild the heads off my Grandfathers 1954 Roadmaster. He remembers it like it was yesterday....he later owned the car and has always revered it. I want to try rebuilding the trans but the last thing I want to happen is to have a break down the first day on the road....or worse the 10th day when I have traveled all the way to Buick Gardens in Georgia. I will do it one day but maybe not for this project....its very special to me.
  20. Yea you certainly are doing nice work and I think I will go with my gut and farm out the Dynaflow rebuild. Maybe one day get a used core and play with that. I consider myself very adept mechanically but like I said about my engine rebuild...this may not be the best time to "Practice" on a rebuild. I continue to keep tabs on your project, thanks for sharing what you are doing. ...now to go shake the money tree a little harder.
  21. This emissions testing gets even sillier here in my area. They decided that they were only going to test cars that are registered in the "Smog Belt"..an arbitrary line that parallels the St Lawrence River. This means that quite literally we have situations where you have to do it but your neighbor doesn't. I'm about a 20 minute drive to this line and yes I'm on the wrong side of it.
  22. Opps my mistake....sorry I mistook it for Daddy had a Buick.
  23. They all are right here: Music for Buick Lovers Just sign up and enjoy the whole disc! Three blocks long and two lanes wide....Daddy had a Buick and Momma like to ride
