  1. He said he doesn't want to hog the field meaning the WHOLE field of 500  So that means 5 Buick's right Lamar
  2. Yep this is the way the nozzles are designed, that should not happen if functioning properly. A year or so ago we had an issue with people putting needles in the handle...leaving you wonder if it was contaminated! I still look at the nozzle before picking up.
  3. Nope it's harder for you guys...you need 59 1959 Buick's
  4. Lamar, just get a car hauler and load about 10 of your pasture Buick's...that should do the trick!
  5. It looks Bad @ss to me! I like original but some mild Mods sure do look hot!
  6. A hard parade boot for 54-55-56: CADILLAC BUICK 1954 1955 1956 HARD BOOT COVERS OEM
  7. Congratulations! Me I'm nor surprised..you did a hell of a job on that restoration. As for the wires..know this; to restore them is a Kings ransom so when you buy, buy to run them as is. As far as assessing value it's all based on condition and I will leave it to those that are much better at that than me for determining what to offer.
  8. It is real... The thing is the printing part is the easy one....getting the actual data from the scan and then "cleaning" it up is where the work is. Someone has to go in and work on the scan to make it all work. My bet they just used a previous file for this vid. In other words its all real in a way but the reality is there is so much more in the process than we see in the vid.
  9. Nice job...you sure have a strong tenacity for this. I see that it was at Slave Lake, I was pleased they decided to make a visit there. Any comments to how the town looks today? For those that don't know, Slave Lake suffered a wild fire back in mid May that burned down almost half of the entire town. Complete loss and devastation. Anyways..."nice get" as they say, any irons in the fire for future hits?
  10. Always time for Pie, Sometimes better than others though...... Pour into the pie crust and put second crust on top; slit. Bake at 350 degrees until browned. Serve with tea in the afternoon.
  11. Man...I though your were a BIG seller now ELD, nice to know your still buying I guess the quality was just to good to pass on eh? Geeze is this like the first one you ever lost.....?
  12. Landau looking elegant as usual.... Love it...thanks man!
  13. Well we laugh at that now...imagine though if they were antiques? Bahhh...never mind they would never get them airborne
  14. These guys get away with so much....too funny!
  15. I started my first ever attempt at welding and welding a patch panel in. I practiced a bunch then dove right in, this sheet metal is tough to not to blow through. Its been a blast and very satisfying to learn a new skill. Here is a pic of the start where it has just a few tacks...I ran out of wire. I am soon to mount the body on a rotisserie, these areas require repair to do so.
  16. Thanks to all that post to help.... I would never have been able to start a restoration project without sites like this. Thank you.
  17. The '54s did not come as "Two Tone" (bottom of sweepspear different colour) but you mention mild mods are not a concern so no matter. The true Two Tone started in '55. It shouldn't be a problem though as many restorations of a 54 get that "Two Tone" treatment.
  18. Well full circle back to you Jim...this was after all, about your car and how you restored it. O'l Bessie represents the Buick brand well! Great job !
  19. 700! Lets Go!!!! hehehehe Only 26 left to 800 folks!
  20. Not really...but it depends on your needs/wants. If you want PM me with your email and I will keep an eye out...I always look for them anyways so it would be nice to be able to contact you if/when one comes along. Also let me formally invite you to 1954Buick.com, drop by and say hello....many will love to help find you your 1954 Buick Special Convertible!
  21. Noted... You may be meeting a MrEarl soon...he's sort of the resident 54 Buick matchmaker. I hesitate to mention this one as I am as close to buying it myself, just waiting for my lotto winnings that seem to never come. It is more than 27K but you get hell of a lot of convertible Buick for that price. The line to purchase also includes MrEarl who just may kill me now for advertising this http://forums.aaca.org/f117/1954-buick-roadmaster-convertible-76c-304945.html .
  22. So are you looking only at convertibles? For that kind of money you can get a really nice hardtop.....
  23. I always struggle at commenting in these threads merely because there can be a difference of opinion and who am I to say that something is not up to par...especially if you really like it. For that money however, you can do better. Here...take a little look at what a 1954 Buick really is like: As they were...
  24. I know which car you are talking about and I have to say that I'm bad a pricing out Modded cars. Not much is standard on it and much has changed so I would like a better history than what is listed. I'm concerned about all that doesn't work, to me if you fix the car up like this you also fix those other things. The way this car was painted really takes away some of the bling this car had not to mention my concern on how well that paint will hold up on all the chrome pices that were shamelessly covered. Leaving price alone in my opinion this is a bad attempt at a quick flip and not the work of a planned and artistic custom job. Here is what the dash is supposed to look like: I have posted your question at 1954Buick.com where some with better appraisal skills than me will be able to help...I would suggest not jumping on this one until you hear more. In my open and personal opinion....not only do I personally think it is over priced I just don't think it is a Buick you would want to have in general.
