  1. Sorry to disagree, but the black one seems to be a 1959 Pontiac. Double fins on the rear fenders were Pontiac. single on the Olds. Also the hood looks Pontiac
  2. Buick, most likely early 50,s
  3. it is a 51-52 Chevrolet Taillights are different than the 49-50
  4. 56 Chevrolet. 4 door hardtop, I could name them all that you have posted, but will save the others for so more people can have fun. You are hitting my favorite years, the 50,s. Thanks for sharing.
  5. 53-55 Buick. someone may be able to nail the year better, Keep the pics coming. This is fun
  6. The car above is a 49 which is for comparison to the Cuban picture. The discussion is about the green ford in the picture from Cuba. the Cuban car is absolutely a 49-50 ford mix.
  7. In my opinion it is just another older car at this point. They made a ton of them. NADA guide shows retail in fair condition at 1300.00 and yours has several issues. You did not mention which engine or transmission it has but I do not feel it would make much diference. I do not know what SSC is but would guess something like "supersport coupe" maybe referring to the rear spoiler and a few trim pieces. You might do better looking for someone local wanting a work or second car if it runs ok. Good luck finding a buyer.
  8. A62Tim, if you go back to the main AACA forums section and scroll down, you will find a large section devoted to Buicks. You might repost there and I would bet you will have all the answers you need and probably more. They are very active and knowledgable.
  9. There were many models and series in 41. I am no Buick expert, but it appears to be a larger car. I am sure some of the Buick boys will chime in soon, but until then here is some interesting info. http://www.harwoodperformance.bizland.com/1941buick/1941_buick_buyers_guide.htm
  10. I think you nailed it, Curti.
  11. Here is a shot of a 25 Model A from Amelia Island in 2010 so I would think it would be correct for that year.
  12. Sorry, I just pulled it off the internet. The article said it wea a high point restoration. I saw some others also.
  13. There is always a chance of vapor lock if you have a fuel line running too close to the manifold. After the fuel cools, it will flow and let the engine run until it gets hot enough to vaporize again. Was very common on the old flatheads when we were kids in the fifties.
  14. I could be wrong, but what I have found is they were flat thru 1938, but lettered in 1939. Same size so some people use the 39 on the older trucks because they like the looks of the lettering.
  15. As I remember, the decal is the correct shifting patern. It is a little unusual for a 110 to have a 4 speed. Usually the 120's and bigger had them. But since the decal is there, I would assume it was ordered with one. International used a Borg-warner T-98 trans, as did several other manufacturers. Here is an article about the use of them in Jeeps that may help you. Most of the info would apply to yours also. http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/t98.htm
  16. Be sure to check out the Wigwam Motel in Holbrook. The rooms may be too small for your family, but the kids will get a kick out of the wigwams for rooms if you can find a way for all of you to fit. and you will love looking at the antique cars and trucks parked around the grounds. You can find more about it on the internet. I lived there in Holbrook for several years some time ago. Also tour the Petrified Forest just east of town if time allows.
  17. Concerning #2, I could be wrong, but I can not think of any cars from that period using exposed screws for mounting outside trim. Exception being headlight rings and parts that had to be removed from time to time. I am leaning towards aftermarket. Hope someone can come up with a better answer.
  18. You might post your parts in the "International/IHC forum just above this one if you have not done so already. There was a person on there just recently looking for some 37 parts. Several IHC people check in there often.
  19. Found a couple of pics of 63 Galaxie's that seem to have this style.
  20. Hi, I agree he should have very little problems finding people needing his services. If you are open to other areas in the US, I live in Florida and feel there would be many opportunities in this area as well. Good luck on your move.
